do you need that transporter thing that you can get from Tiger Wheel and Tyre? I don't have it and only started using the Insurance last week. On the vitality app they do say I achieved 2 x 100kms incident free drives. Will these count? This is meant only on the open period they have.

Are you insured with Discovery or just using the Insure App?

Insured: get the device from TWT, as they can link it to your policy.

Not insured: not required.

i think it's because I edited the move that it's not giving me the points.

Correct. They can now detect editing of exercise sessions.

Used to be a very easy workaround, and you can understand why it was done.

completely understand why. I thought I wasn't changing anything that would actually affect my points so it wouldn't be a problem. Oh well. will have to do another 30 min session sometime this week

But, if you do 15 seconds with HRM on and then take strap off and let the timer run, it gives you the average for the full 30mins.

Talked to one of the app developers, almost impossible for them to stop this as many activities dont show this data to them and running on treadmill or yoga would not count then.

Interesting! So if I would remove my HRM after 20 seconds on 80% HR average, but continue with my activity for 30 minutes, my average HR will remain at 80% and I will get my 300 points?

I can edit all my garmin workouts too. Have edited a few, but those were either well after they had been sent to disco or ones that would not have counted anyway.

According to a fellow runner I know, you don't even need to carry on. He also has an HR strap, he said he tested it more as a joke, pulled out a jump rope, got his HR up to 80% and took it off, sat down and had a beer. Still got his 300 points.

There are down-sides to owning a fennix then, damned HR is perma attached, although I should test it one day and see what it does if I remove the watch from my arm.
