Sigh... Shoe Booster wobblies again still... You'd think that when something drops through the cracks, they'd have a procedure to process the request in an ad hoc batch... But no... Two months now and repeated calls to no avail. Perhaps it's about time to begin invoicing Disco for the repeated followups on a time and materials basis?

Anyone having issues adding devices to the app?

I need to link PolarFlow but it’s been giving me errors the whole week. Even doing it via the website doesn’t work.

I had an issue with Samsung's S-Health not syncing data (Steps and Heart Rate) Would not let me add the device in the Vitality app even though I gave permissions.

Not sure how the PolarFlow works but I solved my issue by going into S-Helath app on my device and giving permissions there. Once that was done all activities started to sync.

Can somebody please confirm the Helathy Gear option benefits at Sportsman's Warehouse...

My wife, son and I are on the policy as adult dependents. The way I understand it is as follows, we all need to do our Vitality Age and Vitality Fitness assessments (All done) to qualify us for the 25% cash back on any healthy gear purchase up to a maximum spend of R4000 (For families).

I need to swipe my Healthy Gear card before the transaction is rung up and paid for. If the item costs R6000 I will receive my R1000 cash back in the next billing cycle.

Do I need to pay with my Disco card as well? Suppose it would be a good idea anyway to earn the miles...

I also want to pay in store with miles on said purchase just to complicate the issue... I envisage a cashier at Sportsman's having an interesting day soon....

I wish life was simpler. All these loyalties and benefits just complicate things...

1. You didn't have to do the fitness test x3 to be able to activate the device booster. You would have just earned R400 back in the next billing cycle instead of R1000.

2. Pay with your miles first and then pay the ballance with your Disco card. This won't affect your 25% cash back at all. You'll obviously only earn miles bases on the balance that you pay with your card.

3. If another family member wants to buy a device and boost it also, wait until the following month to be be able to get 25% back on the next purchase.

Grebel didn’t mention device booster in his message, but the healthy gear card.

Healthy gear card requires all adults to do the fitness test.

You don’t need to pay with a Disco card.

I have never used miles except for online purchases, so can’t answer. But if it works like the VAR vouchers then you’ll get a Wi-code - but I’d rather for someone who has used miles to confirm.

1. Just the Healthy Gear portion. That Device booster seems like a lot of hard work....   and all adult dependents need to do the assessments to activate the 25% cash back as far as I know

2. Thanks. Wasn't sure about the sequence. Better to walk in there knowing what to do

3. This I was aware of thanks.

I have bought a R2k pair of shoes in store before and paid half with miles half by card. Received R500 cash on my disco card the next month.

Thanks. S'pose its better to pay with the card and earn the miles.

I have done the maths and have an idea what the number should be so I will do the pay in store thing and allocate the required amount of miles and pay the balance with the card.

Pretty sure it should work like the VAR code. Will make sure and double check in store first though before I go pay though.
