Discovery Miles programme is on hold while the new e-money version is being developed. Supposedly launching in Sept but will probably be delayed. You cant currently earn miles on new (bank) card. Yes - you can still use previous points earned. On iOS app home screen pull down to see this >

That global education protector advert at the bottom sure looks enticing. Too bad it cant be used for the main members themselves!

Thanks! Managed to find it in the Android app now - there are 2 tabs at the top - portfolio and shortcuts - it's under shortcuts now.

I think you get actual cashback into your account instead of miles.

Anyone know if I can still use my unused miles online? I can't see an option to use them in store anymore.

That works for Healthy food or gear, not sure how it is working for spend at other places

It's vitality, your getting penalised for being fit. I was very surprised I got 300pt for yesterday's ride, its normally a 0 point ride. Not sure if its something that's dinged my fitness or a set of minions really does make pedaling that much more effort.

No, you're not getting penalised for being fit. You're getting penalised for not playing the game. Play the game, get the points, it's simple.

I am really beginning to see what others have been saying, with the most recent rules and reward changes and now with the addition of money effectively moving all our reward, vitality is become very worthless.

Up until this afternoon I figured I still get a decent benefit through my life insurance, a 17.5% discount and 50% of premiums paid back every 5 years. Color me ******* stupid, by moving my life insurance I can save 45% on my discounted premium and get more benefits.

This literally leaves the gym, which sad to say is actually worth it, at R950pm for my gym, I score paying the 259pm for vitality and getting my free shitty coffee each week.

Hmmm... Just be wary of brokers selling you "the same" benefits when they could be very different or markedly inferior. If you want me to have a squiz, lemme know. No obligation at all.

I've come up against this myself when people have decent benefits at an insurer, but someone has come along and sold em "comparative" benefits that couldn't be further from them if they tried. And inevitably, the client sees something cheaper but simply doesn't know there's a massive difference in benefit comprehensiveness.

Is Discovery Bank officially open to everyone now? I finally received my invite yesterday to transfer over from Discovery Card, after being one of the first to sign up in November last year. 9 months later, wow well done Discovery. Pity I just paid my Miles annual fee, so definitely not going to move across until Miles actually launches on the Bank, especially since I currently earn on average R600 worth of Miles per month with the X10 multiplier.

the general public we’re only invited from about June at about 1000/day, while their staff were used as the guinea pigs from November onwards - so it might have been 9 months since applying, but only 3-4 months since the public were invited. My broker told me they were only taking on a max of 1000 per day from 1 July m.

Quick question...Does anybody know when the Discovery Credit card will be moved over to the bank as in no more under FNB?

Do you mean 'when will the former Discovery Card be discontinued?'

As soon as you receive your new Disco bank credit card, they will automatically cancel your old one and move everything over to Disco bank

Ok great. Will the apple watch benefit then fall under the new credit card?
