I'm not sure why everyone here hates him so much.

There's a few reasons I'd wager

1. He's a yank. Cam Zink is a yank

2. He consistently spanks everyone. When Sam Hill was spanking no one seemed to hate him

3. He's a red bull athlete. So are a bunch of dudes

4. He's probably going to overtake greg in terms of wins and overalls. Records are made to be broken

5. He publicly gives thanks to the man above. He comes from US motocross and AAAAALLLLL of those guys give thanks when they're on the podium.

6. He doesn't come off as a party guy. I think the sport could use a dose of professionalism. The motocross boys in the states (His background) are HARD at work from the end of the outdoor season getting ready for Anaheim 1. (This weekend baby!!!!)

7. He wants to be paid what he feels he's worth. Don't you?

AG is disliked for one reason, the way in which he conducts himself. No need over think it.

agree swiss, no need to get all uptight about him and his doings...He can do what he wants

You have to admit though, its nice to have an underdog, a villain, a come back kid and a promising young turk. Makes for good drama an all that

Gwin does the villain thing well...only his decisions to blame.

COOL!!

Haha.

For me I LOVE the doccies and perving at the TRICK bikes. Last year there was a series on Roczen and Dungey and all the physical training, mental prep work and all the behind the scenes stuff that goes on. I was never a Dungey fan but after watching that I most certainly am.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on what I've been up to. I realize that it's been a while since I've released any news and a lot of you would like to know my plans for next year. First, I'd just like to say a huge thank you for your excitement, the amount of interest that I've gotten during this new step in my career has been crazy. I'd hoped that I could have announced the news weeks ago, but it just didn't work out. As you can imagine, there are a lot of pieces that need to be put together when building a top-level program, from the ground up. I've only had a few short months to take this on and I've done my best to make sure that every last detail was attended to at the highest level possible. That being said, I'm very happy with how the whole team has come together. I'm also super excited to begin a relationship with a few new personal sponsors.

Well, that's it for now. Big thanks again to everyone for the support during this time. I've got a team photo/video shoot to do next week and then we'll be ready to release the goods! Hope you guys have a great weekend, can't wait to see some of you at the local races very soon!

So what he is saying is that no factory team is interested in him and he is still trying to milk more out of a personal sponsor. . ????

ouch! straight in with an upper cut ^_^  But, it would appear as you've alluded to: forming a racing setup tailor-made to his particular needs and views. But its getting rather boring now, all this hooplah about gwin. At the end of the day, its just gonna be another dude on a bicycle with a bunch of sponsors. No different from any of the world cup riders save the privateers. Sure, he may be earning a zero or two more than the rest, but at least one of the rest will go home world champ for a year. Can't buy that ^_^

If the rumours are to be believed then Gwin will be riding on a YT, whilst also being sponsored by Audi, KTM and Red Bull.

I think it's a case of him having overvalued himself to the point of having to create a rally/F1 style team around him. Don't think that trade teams will feel safe with employing someone who has shown that he will drop you like a hot potato for more dosh!

So he'll be an American on a German bike with a German car an Austrian motorbike and drinking Austrian energy juice?

Sounds like he's pissed off enough guys his side of the Atlantic
