Bling factor value is a powerful thing. I mean I love a bit of cool brand or fancy, but not at the expense of an organ that controls my entire existence. I’d rather be unfashionable with all my faculties. 

 

 

 

 

 

It's a costly sport for socialites, aimed at people with money, who need others to know (think) that they have money.

I bet the 15k helmet has a SOLID margin built in and there is a demand inflated element to that price. My guess is the importers of those helmets are not driving Polos. Even if it would have been fitting.
