Duane_Bosch Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Moved a few bits an pieces around and now my "office" is my new pain cave. I need to procure a monitor but sadly that can only happen after lock down. Andrew_Smith, WrightJnr, ChrisF and 3 others 6
Duane_Bosch Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I've had to switch the room back to the orientation it was before. There's a bit of a headroom issue as it is in the loft area of the building. Even for a shorterse like me. Anyway this is how the setup looks currently. I still need to get a monitor and neaten up the wire situation. Nothing does my head in like a bunch of wires all over the place. SwissVan and Andrew_Smith 2

Duane_Bosch Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 My contact lenses dried up just looking at that fan...Haha. Should I put it on the floor maybe and get 2 little USB boys for the desk?
Chris_ Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Haha. Should I put it on the floor maybe and get 2 little USB boys for the desk? Or ride with sunglasses on haha Nah man, you do what suits you. I also like the fan to be able to hit a bit of the rest of my body too. One thing we know is you have pleeeenty time to play around with it Duane_Bosch 1
Escapee.. Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 My contact lenses dried up just looking at that fan... Duane is prepping for next Morzine Always rides like this... Chris_, Duane_Bosch and WrightJnr 3
ChrisF Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Haha. Should I put it on the floor maybe and get 2 little USB boys for the desk? My setup is actually very similar, except for those nice instruments. I set my fan higher, hits the ceiling, and drops over my back. It works for the short rides I do. When you do LONG rides you take all the cooling you can !!!! Friend did a TEN HOUR session on Saturday to practice, in the hope that Baviaans may still happen ... Air-conditioning on full blast, AND a fan to make sure that cool air flows over him !! Still serious amount of sweat on the floor !! So yes, play with the fan until it suits YOUR use. Duane_Bosch 1
Duane_Bosch Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 TEN HOUR WTAF? I'd totally kill myself. ScottCM 1
ChrisF Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 WTAF? I'd totally kill myself. And he is in his 60's .... hardcore ouballie !! Then again, you have to be, if you want to ride the Baviaans at that age. Duane_Bosch 1

I'm burnt out. Been overdoing the wattys. I actually didn't look at your trainer layout but tried to figure out which axes were hanging on the wall.... I'm trying to justify buying a Les Paul Jr kit guitar and hacking out a double cut and lean over.... Because Punk

Because PunkThe electric is a Cort Cheapie. The middle one is a cheapie bought by my ex wife as a gift. The real gem is the steel string on the right. It's a Washburn D10 SCE LH. All are lefties. I bought a Fender Ukelele for my birthday in November which has been getting a LOT of play time this lockdown. The baby loves it as everything, no matter how mundane, now has a soundtrack. The wife would have thrown it away ages ago if it didn't calm the tyke down so much!! On a cycling related note, I also have a BIG fan blowing in my face and a desk fan blowing at my legs/tummy so that it at least evaporates 'some' of my skin tears... My shoes are swamps after a decent session.

I wanted a Takamine but the shop that sold the washburn to me said that that washburn was the better buy in the budget range that I was shopping in at the time. I had a Fender Stratacoustic as my first steel string acoustic but it was utter crap. Yeah I need to figure out my paincave setup a little better. that's the hottest area of my place but it's all I have. Edited April 17, 2020 by Duane_Bosch Jewbacca 1
