To those that have done this before ...

When do we get the official route for Sunday?

They should mail it to you this week, else ask Speedracer. It's probably Heidelberg, Villiers Truck Stop and back via Henley. Sorry to miss it. Have a good ride.

This year it's a 200km event - who's entering?

I'm too lazy to read the R&Rs (rules and regulations), but is this event fully self-supported? Are we allowed help at the compulsory check points?

I suppose no help along the route?

Thanks!

Ride to checkpoint one, get your card signed, buy a coke and a pie.

Ride to checkpoint two, get your card signed, buy a coke and a barone.

Ride back to Lido, hand card in, buy a beer.

Never even thought of one of these rides. How does it work? Like a big group ride or just ride along?

Some people 'rode along' some did their own thing, my boet and I rode together. I would do it Pat Malone this time, it's how I like it ????

I used to do them, you can ride as a group if you like or on your own, essentially its not a race and there is no support, so you need to supply your own food and refreshments or buy along the route, they give you a small map but thats it, so if you get lost on your own,... well you are really on your own!.

There are time limits for arriving too early or too late at check points and they can even hold you at the checkpoint if you arrive too soon,... that never happened to me though.  :)

They are quite fun, 200 kms is doable, I would do it.
