A vertical shock is better...

Cannonball, Silverback and Trek have completely re-designed their frames and made it better (no I can not prove this with science tests so take it as a subjective statement only). I think BMC and Spaz can also improve with a new design. As a general rule in tech, especially if the tech is changing quickly, normally modern = better. This can be seen clearly in F1.

I vomited a little when I saw "Cannonball" in your post.

Having ridden a lot of dual sus bikes including a Epic and Spark (both for a year ) spez felt super responsive <- This does actually not mean anything

I just wanted to say i have ridden those two bikes for a considerable time and liked the spez more  BUT now I ride a steel hardtail and could literally not be happier.

+ Where does PYGA fall??  not horizontal but also not vertical (talking about the STAGE)

Also any comments about my previous question about the fork 80mm/100mm?

Sorry just had to break the chain of linkage comments  :D

That's what they wan't you to think. 2016 frames were $hit, obviously. The 2017 frames are designed with the latest numerical-differentiation-modeling-integration-super-multi-dimensional tools too provide the lightest, fastest and most comfortable frame yet. With boost tech.

Can we not all agree that the Evil bikes with the DELTA suspension are the best?  Extensive scientific tests were done to confirm this: The bigger the grin shredding down the single track the better the suspension.  Sounds pretty scientific to me.

Also, we can all agree that everybody in SA with an Epic that are not racing for a podium position in a XC race bought the wrong bike.  Most Epic owners, myself included, should have bought the Camber.  Again, same scientific test as the one above.

Feel free to challenge this scientific facts.

You must be using science tests.... I am sold...

We all know that the Epic is so popular because it can take two water bottles, not because it has the best suspension design. Mount the shock vertically and all those marathon racers will be looking elsewhere. No one likes a seat post mounted bottle cage.

Lets face it  - on Pro-Racers version of reality we should all be riding these, or Morewood Zula's and and and ... He has a point re the pivots - there are 14 bearings out back on my Spaz and thats R1k before you even get them fitted... These Orange bikes absolutely rip  - so if you can stomach the looks, they are probably better for non -pro riders who don't have a Spaz butler aka team mechanic following them around tweaking and replacing worn out bearings and pivots :-)

Ja but it's got a horizontally mounted shock, so it's old hat and inferior to everything else.

if you can stomach the looks,

I actually like the way it looks.

Reminds me of those stealth night hawks from the 80s
