Ive often driven a section of road at the same speed I ride it. On the bike it feels like I'm flying....in the car it feels so S>>>L>>>O>>>W.

Ditto...my god, what's wrong with us.

Some of my friends only see me when I ride or surf with them.

As a result the only vehicle they ever see me is my bakkie.

Some time back my one buddy tunes me.

You've got a wife and 2 kids. Don't you think its time you invested in a car?

I was actually shocked he simply assumed I was that selfish or irresponsible.

I have a car my bru. You just never see me drive it.

Tell me about it!!!

This year alone:

Crash at Argus on hospital bend elite bunch, still finished with A batch. Damage: broken ribs, bruised kidneys, internal bleeding = few weeks off.

First week back riding properly I pull my foot out the pedal in a sprint at 60kph.

Damage: big time concussion, shattered clavicle, deep head laceration, internal bleeding, some skin missing = 1 week in bed and 6 off the bike.

Back on the bike for a few weeks, so decided to go have some fun on the nationals xco course. Walking speed OTB, landed perfectly wrong: broken back (compression fractures and anterior wedging in 2 vertebrae) = 8 weeks off the bike and my season has gone to pot.

Have to keep reminding my self it could be worse.

When your bike costs more than your car:

Car: Toyota Tazz, 1999

Bike: Trance Advanced SX

You do that math...

I like your style, I raise you:

Car: Mazda 626, 2000

Bikes: Santa Cruz Tallboy Enve Spec.

Cervelo S5 Di2 with DA C50's

When I have both bikes on the bike rack I spend more time looking in the review mirror, to make sure no one rear end's me. [emoji16]

Ok, I thought that I was bad with injuring myself, but this takes it to a different level. Perhaps stamp collecting is an option?

... I visit the bike shop just to look leaving my wallet in the car.

At least 4 times a week. Every week.
