WTF how old are you people

you are all acting like a bunch of aggressive ADHD twelve year olds

and a bunch of twelve year olds creating a lynch mob over something on facebook no less

leave the grown ups involved to sort their own s##T out

if it really all happened then the grownups (actual witnesses)will go to the police and do their thing they don't need all of you to mob together and jump to perjorative conclusions and spend your time trash talking fellow cyclists (if you want to be one of those people go join a 4x4 forum or a facebook group)

talk about bikes or go ride yours ffs

How would we know if the whole incident was staged by the residents in order to stir up public dissent for the cyclists using the Cradle at all? All planned and executed and appropriate media gained?

A grumpy enduro specialist...

There are other medical specialists too... you just have to know who they are...

Sounds like a threat to me - but the group only has about 29 members... so the don't feed the trolls reminder applies...

Mr Vermaak is clearly not the sharpest pitchfork around if he doesn't get satire.... although we know DIPS does.... and I would not be surprised if harryn is about to make some calls to him... love to be a fly on the wall for that one.... :)

The problem with this whole thing is that all cyclists who ride the cradle and Hout Bay are now considered raving sociopaths as well as people who have a complete disregard for traffic laws. And based on a LOT of the behavior I've seen with my own eyes and the pics on that Facebook post and the events of this and events of this past weekend that's not far from the truth.

I really think we as cyclists need to take a looong hard look in the mirror and change our behavior out on the road. If you slide through that red traffic light coz you don't want to unclip and you can see there are no cars coming. You are reinforcing the hatred of us coz guaranteed the motorist at the traffic light is rolling his eyes and using the word "cyclists"

Could someone point me to the right place where it says that the yellow line/lane in the cradle is a dedicated cycle lane and that cyclist must stick to cycling in it?

My understanding on a national road the yellow line is actually used for emergency vehicles?

And that over the years cyclist have taken this area over as a cycle lane, but as cyclist we actually have a right to cycle on the road?  And when someone says that we must stick to this cycle lane, they are actually incorrect with regard to their interpretation/assumption.

Hence my question, where is this written in law?
