Surprise surprise

Another surprise, maybe I missed it but I didn't hear the commentator mention Sagan once, and yet there he is in fourth ...  :)

If PR is going to happen what with another sort of lock down in the north of France. I am really looking forward to the 1st women's race.

Looking less likely that PR will be held in April.

Sucks as a cycling fan but when you look at the situation then it is understandable that as it stand they don't want to risk it.

I saw a tweet that states the hospital admissions in the region is at 118%.

Suppose a call will be made soon.

Fine… let them focus on the others [emoji6]

Edit

Very interesting to see how his race schedule leading up to Flanders goes.. He has opted to go to Volta Catalunya which is a very difficult stage race instead of the classics leading up to Flanders.

Good to see him get back to good form again, he probably have a few more major wins in him and the sport need characters like him.  I like the guy as a person and the way he race.

Yes his form is building and as he said better than at TA but he also says there is more work to be done..needs race days as his training and season was delayed.

Sagan is Sagan.

If you aren’t following the Intervals.icu thread, here’s the data for MvdP from Strada Bianche, in the Intervals.icu app.

I basically understand nothing of those graphs for the exception of his w/kg list. I am sure though those graphs and numbers say that MVDP is an incredibly gifted athlete. He will win a monument or two or more in his career. Fairly sure of it.

Conclusion.. Pro's are good we are bad.

Milan San Remo : 299km

Jasper Stuyven 6hr 38 min, avg 45.064 km/hr

Cape Argus Cycle Tour: 109 km

Slowbee: 6hr 00 min, avg 18.5km/hr

Try comparing this (time in power zones) between a Pro and us mere fun riders.

This was my weekend's worth of riding, compared to the Diesel engine that is Tim Declerq at MSR:

Okay, mine was three rides compared to his single effort, so I had some rest inbetween, but also had work to do (fatigue) around the house.

Moral of the story, don't compare ourselves to the Elite.

Lots of younger people apparently.

Postponement likely hey.
