Veebee Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Phew ... some relief there 'cos I kakked off in R4V. Race for victory was K@K, but R4S wasn't a whole lot better. The wind always hits you after the left turn where it is just open fields with no cover at all.

mecheng89 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 R4V is a very enjoyable race if the wind isn't as punishing as it was in 2016. A bunch got ripped to pieces, I was thrown off even before Walkerville Hill. R4S, I still have my 40km PB thanks to the start of this race. The most punishing bit in the race is the nice hill heading out of Heidelburg. I managed to keep up with the main bunch all the way up to 111km right outside the entrance to Carnival, left hammy seized up and I limped to the finish. Still not 100% convinced I'm ready for this race.
