Put half a bottle in the freezer overnight, just fill up before ride with cold water and it should last quite a while longer.

Never ever ever buy a Camelbak.

Freeze your bottles, works a charm!

Or phone me, I'll bring you ice cold drinks if I must, just no Camelbaks.

Need a sleeping tablet now.

Freeze overnight - you'll be surprised how quickly it's ready to drink, and will remain chilled just that little bit longer.

If worried then freeze one and keep one in the fridge instead.

lay the bottle on its side half filled in the freezer , when go to ride take a bottle from the freezer and fill up the water that is being filled with get cold very very quick because such a large area is ice and its all touching the water.

This also prevents the issue where the ice is not melting fast enough to drink .

Camelbak big chill bottles. Freeze as BaGearA says. Fill with chilled water and it's all cool all the way.

Except at Van Gaalens in summer struggling up oom piets and Nguni loop..

Hahaha! You guys are like concrete blocks! Alas I am weak. I fill my camelbak halfway and lay it down in the freezer then fill with cold water. I like the brainfreeze and it keeps my back nice and cool.
