Just go find a nice mtb trail to ride.  At least you will still be getting training and TITS and the mtb trails are more sheltered from the wind (and more fun).

Wind tomorrow is perfect for Suikerbossie intervals. SE pushes you up the hill then slows you down when rolling to the bottom to do the next interval.

Rule 9: Only badasses go out in badass weather. Strong wind in the Peninsula is definitely badass weather. But only if it is strong enough. 11 m/s is not strong. Unless you on deep sections.

Edit: not strong added.

How was the windy ride today? I was out riding with the wife and got freaked out by how she was getting blown around. Decided to abort the ride and call an SOS vehicle.

Witnessed some carnage on suikerbossie just before oudekraal.. saw two ladies and a guy get blown off their bikes and into the barriers, some of them got hurt quite badly, hope they heel up soon.

That line between bravery and stupidity is very fine

That was probably some the strongest wind I've ridden in quite a while. Got blown across the road heading up Chappies from the HB side and I'm 100kg.

Sure it would have been tough for lighter cyclist.

Sounds like a strong SE might make it safer to do the CTCT on MTB slicks, especially for those very light riders, gives you a little bit extra grip for if you go off the tar, only problem is that you also present a bigger profile in the wind on the mtb than road bike.

Gusts were 65km\h plus around 10am....

Not for the feint hearted or those not confident with their bike handling skills!

confidence and being relaxed on the bike is the biggest skill for when riding in this kind of wind
