The printed numbers on demand is a disaster, queues are not long but you can stand up to 15mins in it. 4 queues & printers.

Agreed..

Stood for 15mins and was only like 7th person from the front, (it looks like the printer only takes about 10 sheets of the paper the number is printed on). Then my chip was scanned, And then the lady after me was scanned before mine was even printed, the printer "skipped" my number at 1st and then I had to wait for another 3 people before the guy did mine again because he just kept scanning other people. Also the "number boards" dont have your race number on, but rather a transmitter type thing printed on it which they link to your race number, After mine being scanned twice, and being skipped, not sure if the number board is even linked to my number or the lady who was after me...

Lastly, I truly hope this is not what they are going to do for the World Fun ride champs aka CTCT aka Argust LOL... The lines at the collection point will get ridiuclously long if this is what they are thinking of doing and will create loads of grumpiness...

My opinion, Just print the numbers, People paid the entry, if they don't collect, then their loss, Stop looking for ways to score extra Moola because Tom, Dick and Harry never paid so now you never had to print their numbers and you saving money...

Same organisers as for the CTCT, I think they often use the SCT as a test for new ideas they want to implement at the CTCT - appears that this one is not working that well...

Glad they trying new things, but for CTCT, 30 000 entrants, if it aint broke, then don't fix it might have to apply.

Yes, I checked mine last night and not only is it upside down, the printing is on the wrong side of the sheet! So they printed the details on the disposable backing v.s the sticker. I had to peel off the backing and use glue to stick the "disposable backing" to the board etc, then throw away the "sticker"!

I'd recommend that everyone checks their number -  else you might only discover this on the morning and not have any glue handy!

Getting my number yesterday was pretty painless.

Late entry process was also painless.

Goodie bag is awesome.

rocked up, sat with the dude at a PC and entered on the spot.

See my seeding is somehow still "Q", so got slotted into 3B.

They gave me the option of renweing my PPA membership, been gone for 5 years now.

Printed straight out. took me way longer to walk from the parking than the actual process.

Just kidding about the goodie bag, there isn't one.

Also went to register now. I have to agree, barring an IT or printing problem it is probably quicker and smoother than the old system. Think like any nee process they learn from their mistakes and improve. Now you scan they confirm your details and it prints, in the packet and you can immediately fix any issues right there.

Well a 7am start. Lets hopeMrs Slowbee brings her riding legs. I may need a push or three along the way.

This will be our first road ride together other than argust 4 yrs ago.

Nutrition at this stage consists of G&T tastings, maybe with some carb in the way of lays chips. And essentiale. Should be fine to finish ..... I hope!
