I would go with that Gorilla tape every day of the week.. I use gorilla tape then use a high quality electrical tape over it. Stops the tire beads from pulling the tape off when it's been on for a while

Words of Wisdom right there.  I use Wurth tape.

Where can I buy Wurth Elecrical Tape. I had a situation with a leaking tubeless setup in late December. Turned out the rim tape was leaking. My only option for rim tape was Sportsmans Warehouse..I paid 300zars for a bloody roll of Stans rim tape.

Removed the tyre. cleaned the rim. Tried to apply the Stans rim tape, it still had a leak. I discovered a wide roll of gorilla tape at home..Cut it to size, nearly losing a finger in the process. Stuck it in the rim. Still working now. I think adding some high quality electrical tape will really give me peace of mind.

Used gorilla tape for my tubeless setup a few years back and have had no issues since and works brilliant. I did make sure i cleaned the rims very well and put the tape on as straight as possible with out any sort of creases.

Jewbacca made an excellent point on the electrical tape over that. I never did that but if i need to re-tape at some point, i will use gorilla tape again and then the electrical tape over that.

Damn why didn't this thread pop up this weekend. Suckled my g@t off topping up my sealant this weekend. Ended up just removing the tubeless tyres and putting the tyres I got with the bike back on. Luckily I still had the tyres and tubes stashed and they brand new. I couldn't get the tyres to pop back on and the compressor was supplying plenty air. But I think part of the problem was that the tyres had some old sealant inside that was a bit sticky. Am busy trying to clean it all off to start off fresh. The tape that the shop put on when they did it for me looks more like a plastic type tape, its a light yellow colour. Should I just remove that and put gorilla?

Sportsmans Warehouse sells an in house brand tubeless tape for R30 for 5 meters. Cheaper than Gorilla tape. Haven't tried it but looks as if it will be brilliant. Thinner than Gorilla tape so will be lighter as well.

I probably have the same tape...swopped tyres this morning and noticed that the tape is starting to lift up on the join now....(had a puncture yesterday, used a worm to plug it and this morning there was a great big lump where the puncture was and you could 'squish' the tyre quite easily)

Solomans have a great blue tape for tubeless at R60 I think I paid.  It did 4 x 29 wheels and some.

You certainly don't need anything better than this with extra Wurth tape.
