That was an amazing race but perhaps not as amazing as the women's XCO (cant believe I'm saying this)

The XCO had elements of 4x in it when the girls were neck and neck down the gnarliest feature, lead changed a couple of times a lap and Neff rode back to win from 2 punctures. And graciously blamed herself for running too low pressure in her "mud tyres" . There was also a bit of argy bargy between Batty and Annika on the last lap. I reckon they maybe won't be on speaking terms anymore...

@Nigel & Myles.

A while back you two got all up in my grill coz I felt that World Cups should be where the bikers are (Bikeparks) and that jeep uplifts are stupid and remove some the aspirational element of World Cups.

Aaaaaaaand Fast Forward to 2018.

There's talk of a WC in Morzine next year

There's talk of one in Whistler soon.

Leogang is a bikepark

VDS is a bikepark

Valnord is a bikepark

La Bresse is a bikepark

MSA is a Bikepark

So is Lenzerheide.

I'd like to see the Pro group of uci dh riders take on the garbonzo event

Tracey Hannah got third in this year's Garbonzo.

yeah but she's been lacking in the world cups this year , and I think it's cause most top wc riders train for A race effort that might last 7mins at most

Which is why i would be so keen on seeing them take on the garbonzo

True

I reckon both GM and Gwin would be able to get pretty decent results but I doubt greatly if they'd manage to beat the enduro guys seeing as they are used to such long runs. IIRC Top of the World (EWS Whistler) is around 20 minutes long. That's a really long descent!

I'm not really fighting. It's just interesting that the bike parks now see value in bidding for world cups and therefore get a bit of exposure for their parks.

If you look at the marketing value that the Crankworx venues get it kinda makes sense. It's also forced the Bikeparks to up their game. Les Gets was muuuuuuch better this year and we'd spot the trail maintenance guys daily.

All good news for us.

Theo considering Rampage? when last we have local representation there?

I doubt Theo has the clout yet in the freeride scene to get a Rampage entry.
