There are sections that just aren't worth taking a risk for.Now I'm not here to start a war, but IMHO there are NO segments or anything to do with Strava worth taking 'a risk' for, especially on public roads. It's social media. It's like dying while trying to get the 'winning' shot hanging sideways off the cable station to win 'extreme ironing' on Facebook. Heal up FL... super yucky for all involved, including the bakkie guy.

The position of the vehicle is very odd, looks like the driver saw him, tried to quickly cut the corner in front of him, and not realizing his speed, caused the collision. Definitely driver error, and my opinion not a case of 'Oh I didn't see him'! I don't think Tijl would have even had the slightest chance to touch brakes or take evasive action. If they make it, they have saved 5 seconds and if they don't, the other guy gets hurt. They instinctively know that they are protected from physical injury and any consequence to them of killing or injuring another road user does not enter into their mindset.

As for the segment itself, guys shoot through that intersection at over 75kmh, but would be grumpy if cars were doing 75km/h on their quiet suburban street outside their house.
