dirtrider Posted October 17, 2006 Share Mallo I hope you not from Cajees cause with that #@#$-you attitude I may just take my bussiness else where !!!! Why don't you try and get a decent service going as well ????
Guest Big H Posted October 17, 2006 Share Hot damn..... I cannot understand you lot of moungatte!!!!!! When you buy a car do you walk in and buy the first and best car you see.... NO!!!!! You look at your budget, the specs of the car(s), accessories etc etc etc. Why do you not do the same when you buy bikes. Find out beforehand what you want.... then go and buy what you want where you can get it the cheapest......AFTER SALES SERVICE........ HOGWASH.... a bike is just and bunch of screws and nuts..... anybody who can fit a plug to a hairdryer can service or "tune" a bicycle. Come on you bunch of nuts do not believe what the "big establised with a fancy address" bikeshops tell you. Get your hands dirty and do it yourself. MUCH more gratifying!!!! AndreZA Posted October 17, 2006 Share So Big H, to save R500 by buying the cheapest, you have to buy R1000 worth of tools and then you still don't know how to use it. I do most of my own work but some people don't.
ewep Posted October 17, 2006 Share Nog 'n ding Oom H, for someone like my wife it would be (1) best price and (2) believe the shop.
Gumpole Posted October 17, 2006 Share Big H - then you should buy a bike from Cajees or the internet. Somebody completely new to cycling should either go in with a knowledgable friend (Hubber ) or go to Cyclelab, MSC, Linden or one of the specialist shops. ewep Posted October 17, 2006 Share Gummy, you've got it. As I said, buy from Cajees if you KNOW what you want and you can DIY/have friend or LBS to fix the bike. They do have the best price on most things. Mallo, if you do have contact with the guys/gals at Cajees, could you PLEASE do me a flavor. I used to buy just about everything from the Eastgate branch, but since the Mustafa has gone I might as well be talking to a wall. Get someone there that knows the product! Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted October 17, 2006 Share gosh !!!!! unbelievable. Here is a shop that is cheaper than the normal ones, and you moaning about why he is cheaper. sh*t guys, can we not change the hub's name to the moangat forum? Maybe the Webbie must ADD a new SECTION called Moaning section. First it was CWC, and anyone questioned their prices, in between it was Hi-Fi corporation and grey products. Stop flippen moaning and be greatfull their is some shops that try to make their prices cheaper. Every damm bike got some catch or another if you don't find the "FULL" dura-ace or whatever indicated. Maybe the damm thing got a deore chain or cluster on, who knows. Come on guys, stop moaning about every damm thing. Don't try and bring shops down because you are a moan gat. Dr. Seuss Posted October 17, 2006 Share Man with no name: He's smiling cause he can see $$$$$$$ At least he smiles when he sees $$$$' date=' cyclelab guys do not even smile nor does Andrew greet prospective clients!!![/quote'] dont agree with this - andrew always greets & smiles in his shop. he even greets every single person he rides past (and with) in the mornings. coming to think of it, there is CAJEES, CYCLELAB, SLIPSTREAM, MORNINGSIDE CYCLES & FRITZ PIENAAR in a radius of 10km from me and all of them are friendly and always willing to help - even if I just ask advice. take a bike to CYCLELAB for a quick adjustment - no charge! same goes for SLIPSTREAM even though i did not even buy a bike from them. porky Posted October 17, 2006 Share Like it or not Cajees is the biggest most powerfull retail bike shop in the country - period. How did they get there - simple - they are businessmen who sell bikes and bike parts, not cyclists who are trying to be businessmen.!! Most small bike shops I see are struggling to survive, they have minimal stock, are not financially strong, are generally run by cyclists who prefer to be out cycling instead of attending to business and are severly undercapitalised. If I was a supplier I would far prefer to supply a sound financial business with rock bottom prices like Cajees where I know I will get paid, they have a good pull through and they carry the stock. Small bike shops are a liability and even with the owners best intentions the supplier runs the risk of non payment. Add to that the fact that they generall market towards the mass market, weight weenies who like to stand around all day shooting the bull with the salesman, and never spend a cent are not their customers.
