According to the IDT threads there are many broken trainers, i.e. blown electronics, that cant be fixed.  One of these, with the option for a thru axle, would be ideal to mount a bike for a basic bike fit session.

 

If you have a broken one that is in your way .... it would make a nice doner part for some experimenting ....

You might be able to get them off Temu / Aliexpress. I seem to recall there being a Chinese knock off of the Time espresso pedals floating around that takes the same cleats.

Dex, ive got a set of trainer wheels, just not sure what size bike its off. If you can hang five till tomorrow I'll need to go down to the store room to dig then out.

I am looking for a broken wheel-off-trainer.

 

Broken electronics .... noisy bearings .... these would be perfect doners for a nice experiment.

I know @TVS Cycles had a few broken ones a while back, but I am sure he would want something for them.
