I'd love to say that I am surprised, but alas. So much for proving the keyboard warriors wrong.

Please stop saying dumb things. A rider pulling out of a cycling race due to a crash or sickness is not a "loser" or "weak". It happens all the time, with riders such as Mark Cavendish in the Tour, or even Stirnemann last year.

Stirnemann won the Epic in 2017, making him about 50% as tough as most guys on the Hub, and then he pulls out in 2018 after the first stage with a sore tummy. Shame, what a pussy. Can't even finish riding his bike when his tummy hurts. you see the problem with your logic here?

If only he was wearing the revolutionary new Trek game changing never seen before Bontrager helmet, he would not have even felt the crash.

Hi all.

Is it just my perception or have you also notice the pro riders taking more strain on every stage?

I think that it's a good thing, they seemed way too fresh on some of the previous years stages.

Very very irresponsible if them to have him continue with concussion..

Hope he is taken care of now.

Have they hidden the live broadcast away.. or has it just not started yet?

It only starts at 9am. Hopefully tomorrow it will be earlier as the elites go off first in the time trial

9am I think.

Such a shame that we didn't see Groenlandberg live.. that is like not having live coverage of a famous climb in a grand tour.

Hopefully they will focus on the ladies when they get there.

I thought that inexperience and a hard driving Jaro could be Sam's undoing not a fall, by the way I have similar thoughts about Lars. This is simply bad luck and not his character failing, however I think a couple of humility classes from Alan Hatherly would help. The real test will be whether he will be back next year.

So been checking Lars out on the social media side, and one of my teammates who was spectating at the prologue said the way he descended coming down Table Mountain was enough to say Nino has met match, Lars doesn't really look super uncomfortable too
