more info for this please.

if i'm not looking to buy/test a new bike, is there much more than just food trucks/talks

Is it basically an expo, with brands showcasing their 2019 lineups?

do kids need to bring their own bikes?

basically anything you can reveal would be cool to know

Cinema and Talks Arena Schedule:

For a detailed list of Cinema and Talks Arena presentations, talks and master classes, please check back here on 01 March 2018 for a confirmed list of speakers, riders, athletes,

I have bought tickets for the Saturday, I have also asked if there will be secure bike parking as would like to ride to Bikefest.

I will be amazed if they have the likes of Frog bikes or Isla bikes or any bike in SA that comes close to these. Kittel is getting a bit big for his 14"!!

Think of it like Eurobike or Interbike, except better because you can actually go to it instead of reading about it on Pinkbike a week later...

Anyone who has been to these types of trade shows will tell you how awesome it is to feel like a kid in a candy store surrounded by endless cycling products and services!

I guarantee you there will be products you weren't even aware are being imported to SA as they are not represented at your LBS!

For a meager entry fee I'm sure you will be glad you came!

Hope to see you there.

I am taking my 12 year old son.

He has built this up in his mind to something like a combination of Sea Otter Classic and  Inter/Eurobike

I am trying to talk him down, but the expectations are so high, while I just want to fondle bike bits in an inappropriate fashion

Is it just me being out of the loop, or has this event's marketing been lacking?

I'll be at there at the bike park on Friday morning, so will definitely drop in afterwards. Hopefully there'll be something to buy, and a bike to test.

Is there anywhere to see the film schedule, the web site still says "check back 1 March 2018 for confirmed list" ???

Am I missing something maybe?

just you, it’s all over social media, actually got annoyed a bit. Facebook & Instagram & I might’ve seen some posters up on the street light posts.

I attended today and I must say, a bit disappointed.

Two things:

1 - Why a gate price? (I knew it, so not a surprise). You want people there. You have food and drink stalls, and vendors which all need people there. Suddenly the overpriced Foodtruck Burger of R80 becomes in reality R180. If I was a potential vendor, no way i will bother with such setups.

2 - None of the vendors (specifically for consumables) had specials. Nitecore bike light, same price as on website. Muc off, same price as at Sportsmanswarehouse (where I can even get an additional 25% of via Vitality)

Ok so you could test drive R100k bikes, but I am strarting to wonder about the purpose of these BUsiness 2 COnsumer FEstivals
