Iron Man really isn't that difficult.

If you are a fit dude who eats properly and leads an active healthy lifestyle at 26 anything is possible.

Kilian Jornet is a skier who just happened to be good at running....

Yep , I'm also calling BS

Total time: 13:26

Thats fast for someone with no training. Most people wouldn't be able to get out the water without some proper training.

Have to agree. If you lead an active lifestyle an know how to swim, cycle an run it is possible. The mental aspect is also needed.

Swim 1:51:52

T1 0:15

Bike: 6:21

T2: Unknown (took time waking GF and getting ready to jog with him)

Run: 5:14

Just adding up the times known is 13:41 and there is still the unknown time for T2

Yet article says total time is 13:26??????

Only if you add 1:51:52+6:21+5:14 = 13:26:52 (excluding transition times)

So possibly could have done as he skis, climbs, paddle boards and runs..... but would take the times with a pinch of salt and likely embellished for journalistic licence !!!

I have to agree with Jewbacca, an ironman is not that tough to complete especially if you have time, but what makes ironman tough is the intensity you push yourself to hold while doing it is what makes it tough and you need pure incredible fitness to race at that intensity.

helps when the cycle has like a 65 mile downhill...

Didn't see that. Started at 3100m, ended up at 1300m.

He's not just fit, but smart too!

Yep. I've done 2 full IMs. Really not that hectic at all. The swim is p1ss. The bike, meh. Anyone can ride 180km on a roadbike. The run, run where you want, walk where you want. You'll finish.

What IS fkin tough though, is a 100 miler trailrun. I've done a few of those as well. Makes Ironman look feel like a saturday morning parkrun.
