Perfect counterattack by Bilbao

Geez, this stage looked tough

Another win for the break. ????

Love it.

Tomorrow 239 kms with lots of speed bumps.

More opportunity for the break likely with the GC teams keeping their leaders in conserving mode.

Then again, let’s see. ????????‍????

Gaviria pulls out... Mr Wakefield?

de Plus also abandoned. That is a BIG loss for Roglic when they get to the mountains.

Things are hotting up!

Knee injury that was being treated for a few day and never got better. No point in injuring it further when there bigger goals on coming up.

Such a pity. He was looking in good form.

Looking forward to seeing him at those 'bigger goals' if his for improves from now.

Hopefully he can shake that knee issue.

Pink for today at least as well.... Good luck!

Nice and deserved win for the Caleb Ewan. A ninth for Nizzolo who did quite well taking  into consideration that he received absolutely zero support from any of his  TDD teammates.

Unfortunately 9th don’t get you much. Bar Cav’, TDD’s choices in sprinters has been appalling so far. I know people will also point to Cav’ being less than ideal for the last 2 years but remember he has won big for them on the biggest stage and get publicity and headlines for them almost every day.

That was one helluva 1st week.

Rain

Cold

Several stages way over 200 kms

And in excess of 5 and a 1/2 hrs of concentrated racing ????

Technical terrain

It would’ve sapped the legs and the mind.

Tomorrow’s race of truth will be intriguing

Roggas in a solid position
