He changed bikes every lap that I watched.... his pit crew must have been having their own race to clean and lube the bike and chain between laps

I counted 3 bikes that he used during the race...I think.

2 of them had the Euro Champ colours and a 3rd was grey and red.

Thought I spotted him running a front mech? looked more than just a chain guide...

also, did anyone see WVA ride out the pits with a puncture? if so, that was a bummer

Jet wash - not sure they're too fussed with bearing life.

Yes, he uses 2x, at least he did the previous weekend. I was lucky enough to attend the last World Cup event in Hoogeheide the previous weekend and got a few glimpses of his bikes moving between pits and trailers. Edited by DNC

MvdP keeps the same setup at all his races. It’s only the tyre selection and pressure that will change from race to race.

Sauce: Interview on one of the cycling podcasts. Will find it and post the link.

According to Helen CX he has something like 9+ bikes to go at races. He was changing every 1/2 lap most of the time. Why? Because he could.

Tom went deep with 2 1/2 laps w/o a bike change towards the end when he was trying to keep Toon out of touch

I see. I prefer colleague. This woman is another one with a meteoric rise. I hope she's clean.

And then there is this, from Piddles' post-race interview:

Interesting

Will be nice to see a non EU real English speaking person competing for the podium...

Let's not cast unsound and unfounded aspersions please.  She has been around for quite a few years, climbing the ranks from Junior level, as recounted by Helen CX on RBTV this weekend. This year has been exceptional every where, every time, She has always looked so strong on the bike, tactically astute and mature beyond her years. And she has handled her defeats a lot better than others around her.

Have you seen where she does her indoor training? the living room of their very modest accommodations in Rotterdam.
