Apparently it really stuffs up the lungs and people with weak lungs don't make it past the severe pneumonia you get with this bug. You never know how seriously to take these okes but these days you never know. Either way if you are doing the event just be aware and careful. Not paranoid though. They will be lucky if they get 10000 entrants next year, at which point COCT will not provide road closures for such a small field. And then it will just go downhill from there. As of last week there were still entries available - remember 2015's event where we had to enter a digital queue to just enter...
