So with all the talk of the Corona Virus being "out of control", I'll be the oke doing the race with winter gloves, ski mask and arm warmers on..

For your sake we'll pray for 14 degrees then.

I think they should just hire that Doom Pastor  :nuke:

Weather for next Sunday is shaping up to be absolute pearler, if somewhat hot.

Windy.com reckons a slight South Wester and temps in 19 - 22 degrees Celsius range. Looks like a year of personal bests after last year's personal worsts.

Chappies was chaos today but was actually quite comical. After a year of hard training and being blown away by the savages at 6am it was my turn to feel like Froome!

Always go carbon

If you weren't a psychologist, and a phenomenal one at that(from what I've heard from people you've worked with, just wish you were around when I was still playing the game), then I would've doubted that, But obviously you know better LOL..

Just a heads up to all.

Try your best to stay more toward the middle/to the right side of the road when going down the descent as you get about 50m away from the slip way entry to Millers Point. On the left there are 2 football size and atleast 20cm deep potholes which, if anyone hits them coming down at speed, will end very badly for them. I am going to send the City a mail and CC PPA in the mail to ask if in that section specifically which is extremely rough; bumpy tar, they can perhaps fill those holes before next week because big bunches coming down there will not end well for a few, aswell as the section Frail posted about, the long downhill drag after the entrance gate to Cape Point, that stretch is very bad on the left hand side(it's bad and bumpy all over bit on the left especially).

They normally do a safety sweep of the whole course beforehand and the City then deals with it, but it is still a good idea to give them a heads-up. Thanks

there are annoying dips going across this Disa river bridge on Hout Bay... These will catch you out if you're unaatentive. But COCT has fixed them in the past days. I'm amazed. Our city works for us!! ok, not all of us.

Earlier this year I sent them an email about some holes on the shoulder of the road outside my house. Within days it got fixed. Yes, sometimes they do work for us. Other times not so much.

I've sent them a tweet, they replied within minutes that I should log a service request. I am going to do so, Hopefully it's seen to before next week. Those holes are guaranteed wheel breakers and worse for humans ofcourse...
