I can't see how a repair like that is a viable long term solution. It may tide you over, but that isn't exactly a low stress area.

I reckon you should start searching for a 26er hardtail frame. They go for a dime a dozen, you'll just have to be patient.

As I mentioned on pm, I have a 26inch, silverback hardtail, yes it is alu, and yes it is a medium.

If you can make it work for you by using longer stems and such like, you can have it for free. Nadda nothing. Mahala.

But how have you had 3 of the same frame? Maybe I don't understand?

Ghost has a 5yr Warranty on their Frames ...

First bust was right through the pivot point. (This happened with a month left on the warranty)

2nd Bust was just above the pivot point. (This happened two years later)

3rd ... The crack as i posted today. (This happened after 6 months)

I have a 26r silverback frame, hardtail, i think its a large. you are welcome to it.

I have offered him a medium frame I have lying around. If yours is a large it would suit better.

Hell I will even go 50/50 on postage with you.

SO you have been offered a large frame free of charge, with shipping to boot.

What gives?

Or MUST it be carbon........

My philosophy has been .. it ain't happened till it's happened.
