Yeah. You don't let the rider know you're coming by head butting him and shoulder barging him out of the way.

Shoulder rubbing cool. Rubbing is racing but head butting and barging are out of the gentlemen's handbook.

. So as the newer riders come through, sprints will be clean and policed. I dunno, I like the ruling and I hope they remain consistent with it

Let's hope as long as the rule is implemented consistently and not just because there was a serious incident a few weeks before..and then they stop implementing again.

The pace is so much higher today than years gone by.

He has a lead of 68 points.

All points for the day goneis points as well as a 13 point penalty? [emoji849]

My post said Bennett increased his lead by 47, not that he has a 47 point lead.  :D

Sagan started the day on 175, and is still on 175 points. He earned 13 points from the intermediate sprint taking him to 188 points before the final sprint. Relegated to last place in the front group (85th), and then docked 13 points plus the fine, which brings him back to 175.

If Cav had to race with these rules he wouldn’t have won a single stage, but would have had a DQ record.

Ha ha I was just thinking about the headbutts..

200 CHF is peanuts.

Djokovich was fined $10 000 for unsportsmanlike conduct and he did not even aim for the  line judge :)

But yes, I agree, they must be role models.

Djokovic earned $50.6 million in 2019 - obviously a lot less in 2020.

What is Sagan on? 6 million Euros a year.

So the Jock was fined 45 times more than Sagan but only earns 8 times more. Sags transgression could have ended quite badly (bur looking at it again from the overhead I am starting to feel that he wasn’t so out of line)

The lines lady was hit by a tennis ball, we used to play stingers for fun, we even wet our tennis balls.

Ps: I feel sorry for neither.

That was only his fine for the incident he also forfeited his prize money.

Novak Djokovic fined $10,000 for "unsportsmanlike conduct", in addition to the $250,000 of prize money he was docked for being defaulted. #USOpen

In that regard tennis is quite strict and consistent with their rules.. intent doesn't matter nor does the severity of the incident..you may not strike a spectator/ball kid/ linesman/ umpire if the ball is not in play..it's an immediate default Edited by Gen

Yes, you are right... and in addition he also lost out on the chance of earning another $3 million for winning the tournament.

The worst for him is probably that he has also lost out on the opportunity to close the gap between him and Federer/Nadal for winning the most career grand slams.

2020 has been  a very bad year for him .. first the "Covid-19  incident"and now this.

I also thought that she went down too easy but on the other hand Djokovich hits a tennis ball quite hard.
