There is an app on the IOS app store "Elite HRV" one uses this with a bluetooth hr monitor (a tickr in our case) to take baseline measurements, these then are used to "predict" or one's possible level of fatigue. I am using this as a guide to structure my workout load accordingly. I take measurements every morning, keeping to a more or less routine before. (all explained on the app)

Ooh, it is on Android too, I shall try it.

I've looked at SelfLoops HRV previously, free but as far as I can tell it only does the recording, not all the snazzy guides etc that Elite HRV has, and I don't have the knowledge nor patience to try and decipher it.

I am pedalling furiously to get enough drops to upgrade my frame.

If there was a way to drop some cash in this game to buy kit at the shop i would have had the credit card out already.

Furiously researching a way to sell my drops.....

The Tron bike is free. Just sign up for a ton of climbing and you'll have it in no time...

....or if you want a short cut - do all your Training sessions on the hilliest courses you can find. Training is done in ERG Mode so you won't feel the climbs ;-)

another 8k away from the tron bike.... it certainly has taken me a blooody long time, but I dont generally do structured workouts on Zwift. So another 8 times up the alpe, or 16  rides with half that climbing... with rest days in between, hopefully before lockdown ends....

Heart Rate Variability.

It's a measure, using lots of high-speak stuff, that has to do with other mindfuckery that measures the time between your heart beats to determine your stress levels, as well as fatigue. Luckily my wife is an expert with this, as she is doing her master's degree along these lines (cant divulge too much)

There are a lot of factors that has an impact, like alcohol consumption, lack of sleep, general stress levels. But as a basic guide, if it says take it easy, or do active recovery, that's what I'm doing.

Funnily enough I was fiddling with my fenix 6 just now and low and behold there was an HRV app!

It seems though, once again my HRM is the weak link. It doesn't seem to work/connect for the watch app, nor the phone app (but that ones a bluetooth and ant mismatch).

Any meet ups tomorrow 7am or 8am SA time?

Saturday 6am SAF time. We have a 100km ride planned. I’ve followed you on Zwift. If not joining the meetup you can still drop in a little later and ride the 2nd half although you won’t be highlighted in the group.

We plan around 4 rides a week. Let me know if you keen. We use ZOOM as well (most of us) to chew the bit while riding.

Great, do you post the Zoom ID on the group invite?
