Any advise ?

Spent plenty money on blood tests which point towards all the different types of Coxsackie B and seen numerous specialist doctors etc. . It comes and goes even when I rest and do nil for long periods of time , being bugging me for 5 years now and is really placing a damper on my riding & racing .

Every time I try step it up a notch ,bang it flattens me again and again . Go to doctor and just get the same story , sorry chap its with you for life..................

Doctors just want to hand out tablets and even try tell me in a round about way I am suffering from depression . Been tested for just about everything and over it .

Anybody got any ideas ?

Tired of this **** .

I am very sorry about what you're going through with this virus, I actually had to read up on it as I had no clue what it was

But ya, my suggestion: If this is going to have to deal with it for life (as per the doc) then maybe consider going the natural route (homeopathic) - this may sound like some backward hippie advise but if this is going to be with you for a while or life then its worth considering a natural remedy / cure with less side effects than the chemical version

I am no doctor and or medical professional  :whistling:

Spent a great deal of money on homeopathic doctors and medicines and it was a complete waste of time and money , even had ozone treatment and that was an even bigger waste of money and time . Natural does not work but thanks for the advise .

I have had EBV now for about 8 years. The typical routine over the year has been:

- Summer ok

- Winter starts out ok but at some point i get sick and stay sick for months

- Recover in late spring

a few years ago, i have taken the following in Autumn:

- Flu vaccine

- berryglobin

- Vitamin E / Nerobion (3x injections)

The Berryglobin and Vitamin E injections are not covered by Medical aid and come to ~R2200 but they seem to keep me going through winter. I do find that i sometimes get sick but only towards the end of winter. I would recommend you try these or something similar with your doctor

I'm also a sufferer. I'm feeling poked today.

Vit B injections help. I'm going for one as soon as I can pull myself off the couch on the patio. Lying in the sun.

No-one can understand how k@k it feels unless you have it

Natural route? Like all the naturopaths that are rushing in to cure Covid 19 and Ebola?

Where "Homeopaths sans Frontiers" when there's a real tropical disease around?

Correction. Natural works, but when natural works it's also called medicine.

When natural doesn't work, or something is so diluted there's literally not even a single molecule of the original compound in the formula, it's called homeopathy.

Tried more than one doctor pushing natural and spent plenty and nil change in 5 years . Feel fine for a while then bang feel buggered again , summer or winter makes no difference . Aches and pains with a headache and no energy , Then a few days later I start to come right again ............. Saying that specialist doctors have made no progress either ..............

Yeah, one of my clients has it, as does one of my mates. It's terrible, and it's different for every person. I've been told that it feels like a bad bout of depression and as if you're exercising while you have the flu, or have been PROPERLY overtraining. Depression as in the effect it has on your psyche, because it's just so... insidious.

With both of them, it just went away. But it took a long, long time. My mate missed out on a pro mtb contract because of it, but that was 10 plus years ago.

Natural medicine IMO does not equal homeopathy, despite what "holistic" / "natural" / "naturopathic" doctors will tell you.

Good luck, man. I've seen it, and it's a long road.

Been there man. 5 years about right. 20ish years ago. I did fully recover to be competitive 40+ rider. Still going, pretty well actually. I worked with a physician Dr Win Davis in Dunkeld, who retired at 93. He was known as the magnesium man, and converted me. he picked up from my heart beat that I wasn't sleeping well and "putting back enough energy". I suspect he knew about heart rate variability. I was on a cocktail of vitb, mag, coenzyme q10 and other essential amino acids if memory serves.

I learnt that I needed to own the condition and work on 5 aspects in my life. My type "A" ness, relationships - family, nutrition, exercise for health - not training, and spirituality.
