I'm liking today's WvA. Mad pace on the steep bits.

Come on boytjie. Jersey and a stage not far away now!

Fingers crossed.

He is riding very strong, but still smart.

GC battle also hot already.

Saw this on "The Move Padcast"

Very sportsmen like from the D*ck

Not sure that is legit from the man but the sentiment is kinda right.

Merkx will always be the man esp compared to cavendish regarding TdF even if cav goes on to the record. Which I hope he does. Miraculous comeback bigger than tiger woods comeback I reckon. Probably the greatest comeback in sport. And his interviews are excellent

You're forgetting the guy who came back from beating cancer twice to win 7 Tour d.... never mind........

He only came back from cancer once but it was as enough to fuel the fire that drove him to 7 TDF wins.

I have to say that Cavendish has really won many hearts and minds. To persevere and come back from nowhere to win again is a movie deal in the making. Yes he will win again and beat Eddie's record but only a fool will compare Cav's 3odd wins with Eddies 34 and only the Brits will ensure we never forget it.

Andorra, where climbers go to climbing school. The Col de Beixalis truly delivered.

Aaaahhhhh, Sepp Kuss, the most prolific USA rider in recent times (apparently stays in Andorra, no surprise there) offers another scoop of success for the beleaguered team on Bianchis. He is the first USA rider to win a Tour de France stage in about a decade.

"It's incredible. I'm lost for words. To be honest, I've really suffered a lot in this Tour, I just didn't feel I had the spice in the legs. Today I knew it was finishing where I live, and I was really motivated. Finally I had really good legs again so I'm so happy...”

I think the most polarizing thing about Cav's comeback is his obvious change in attitude, his acceptance of his mistakes and his openness.

To be this humble while winning is what gives the turnaround real credence. If he just mumbled it from obscurity no one would take it seriously.

I really like Cav mark2. I really like him and I was never a fan before.

Winning stages is one thing, winning stages while winning GC is another. But why let reason get in the way of something magic like this. Whether we like to admit it or not, we all need a feel good true life story right about now
