My bike took me here where I raced to the top to get a photo of my two riding buddies coming up the hill.

Was funny - I got lost going to the airport on Thursday, and drove the exact route you went - past Cyrildene and Bruma to get back on track.

 

Joburg has changed so much in four years!

Started out at home of the chicken pie this morning to recce the route 66 section with the wife.

 

Ended up seeing this view

Then went to check out some back routes to Van gaalens, but could not really find any other than the usual route.

Turned around just before concrete strips to head back.

On the way back stopped at alehouse for beer and pizza. Took a heluva lot of encouragement to get me to leave the alehouse, did the route next to R512 going up and it was tough in 33 deg heat.

 

Was a long day in the saddle, and i am recovering on the couch with a beer.

Should have stayed at alehouse and sent the wife to fetch the car back at the pie place...

Yeah Jozi has changed like mad, I was surprised to see this gate to the entrance of China Town Jozi .
