Decided I was going to give my indola button shirt a chance to prove it's ability to keep the sun off my neck... Did that and made a nice parachute of itself in the wind. Knoophemp cycling shirts belong on the mtb trails.

Knoophemp? Ek dog dis vir dans, werk en kerk ....

Also saw a spectator with a severe head injury and bleeding something fierce in Kalk bay. Looks like she fell and head-but the kerb.

No sympathy for her... she is from the jewellery shop and tried to cross the road without looking and walked straight out in front of a few guys barreling down main road

Idiot

The narrowing at hospital bend is a good idea. I still don't like the cones.

Isn't that what they have been doing for many years or has it changed? Haven't done it in a few years.

Does anyone know if it is possible to see your start group position?

Racetec used to have that feature.

overall a great day out, just those sketchy road works “cones” along ocean view, saw a few people taken out by the sandbags in the big groups,

Had a blast...up early bells to see my SIL off in 1A, followed in 3B, up front and no issues up onto the highway, great pace and bulleted down Hospital bend with lost of space! Went past a fallen guy at the end of Edinburgh Drive, hope he was OK...fantastic climb up the Hill! and dashed down M3, all very rosy until we left Lakeside to be greeted by a bugger of an Easterly, tough grind to Muizenburg then free -wheeling all the way to Simon's Town to meet the same Easterly as we left and started the climb to Smits in a bit of a gale! At the turn, the wind died and we flew down to Scarborough, Witsands and Ocean View, glorious, good waves with no-one out!!...

Rode through cramps to the bottom of Chappies..pickle juice I kid you not! Chappies climb was good fun, head and tail wind and then that weird headwind from the viewpoint to the first lefthand turn...

Suikerbossie was HOT and sticky and a bit quiet compared to previous years then the mad dash along the Atlantic seaboard to the finish....

The beer tent was heaving and everyone was full of smiles...a really great day out! Support along the way was awesome!

Saw a rider down on the Ocean View descent before the police station, looked bad.
Tough day in the saddle , not the conditions we were expecting!

Goddam. That was a hard ride for me. Something was off with my nutrition as I felt thirsty the whole ride. I emptied 2 bottles of water alone. And that wind was not ayoba. I get to the top of Chappies and instead of freeing down I have to peddle to make headway.

Virtually prayed the last 10km away.

This sounds very familiar.

hahahahahaha

I am really chilled, but that is pure idiocy.

The cyclists were in bad shape, one carted away on a stretcher, neck brace and in the ambulance.

She chose to run into the road without looking and hurt other people. I have no sympathy

Idiotic,

also had a very small child almost run into our path in Ocean View, fortunately the mom managed to catch her and return her to the pavement.

It is available, but not if you search for your name. From the main CTCT results, filter until you find your name (on a phone, you may have to change to landscape view), then you can see Batch Pos
