Looks alright. You get the dual bottle cage too. I'm not into time trials or triathlon so I can't really comment, but from a design and material stand point it looks okay.

Order it and check it out. You can always return it if it's junk.

this thread has become to long to sift through it, so I'm asking the question again.

Which bibs are decent quality for road ?

Much to my horror, I was informed by the wife when I got home this morning that my Ciovita bibs have become transparent. Hopefully I did not emotionally scar to many people with it.

I just buy the cheapest ones, normally around R170 and I've done many miles in them, even managed a 2:47 at Ride Joburg this year 😉

Been using the ykwybike bibs with Italian pads the last few months and have been very impressed by them. Multiple days with 6-8 hours in the saddle. I went up a size from the Asian size - so Large for 1.77m tall. Paid R750 a pair.

Howdy,

I received two pairs of Donen bibs on October 9th, and they’ve been my main training rotation ever since. I also ordered two Shbeik jerseys about a month before that, and they’ve held up just as well, I’m really happy with both.

In addition, I picked up two long-sleeve Donen jerseys, which I wear over a short base layer for early morning rides until it warms up.

I’ve tried several other brands and returned most of them due to disappointing quality or durability. From now on, I’ll be sticking with Donen and Shbeik, they’ve definitely earned my trust.

Edit: Shbeik*

Does anybody know how to request additional product information in a item listed on Temu?

The live chat options does not work and only redirect me to the product specifications as on the ad. No human intervention at all.

Hey @Byran Pr

Great info, thanks!

Sorry for asking, but how did the sizing compare to some local brands? Did you find you had to size up/down for those two brands you listed? (For tops and bibs)

Apologies if this has been answered before!

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hey @dbotha

No problem! The jerseys and bibs are true to size, but I’d recommend taking your measurements before ordering just to double check.

I personally went one size down in the jersey (size S) because I prefer a tighter, race-style fit even though the medium would’ve fit just fine. For the bibs, I stuck with my usual size according to the chart (M), and they fit perfectly.

For reference, I’m 178 cm tall and 83.5 kg.

Hope that helps!

Would be interesting to hear the medium erm feedback ....

Can’t complain about any of my Temu bibs. Just did the 94.7 in a Temu bib and on a Temu honeycomb saddle and had zero chafing, bruising or soft tissue issues, on a very old school steel tandem that is a little too big for me, so a fair amount of shifting in my seat and did a fair bit of walking too!

I buy around the R300 mark and look for the ones that say 3G or Elastic Interface pads. I don’t think the pads are genuine EI pads but they work just fine for me. I’ll carry on buying them. Honestly I can buy 10 for the same price as one semi-decent locally available one and I don’t have to feel so precious about them.

I usually go one size up but the sizing feedback is pretty accurate.

Still happy with mine as well, I actually ordered 2 more pairs of Donen bibs. The Lycra is definitely not as thick or have the same amount of elasticity as say Ciovita but for the price you can't go wrong. Sizing for me was also the same as local brands.

Edit: Realized this morning that I have a new pair of Souke bibs as well, with the mesh pockets on the side. Their quality is pretty impressive as well but their leg legs is a fraction shorter than the Donen's, giving a double tan line 😊
Their lycra and shoulder straps also feel slightly thicker than Donen's.

Oh cool! I just realized I actually have two jerseys from this brand, and I’m really happy with them! I love that they’re completely unbranded! just clean, plain jerseys that get the job done.

I’ve added a few pics of my Ykwybike jersey so you can check out the material and stitching for yourselves.
