Few months on a carbon 3D saddle and its been flawless.

Also rolling some 380mm intergrated bars. Saving me some Watts so im happy.

I’m about a year on a “spiderweb” saddle on MTB and also flawless. I’ve had two surgeries for perianal abscesses prior to this saddle and so far all good a year later!

Bib shorts I got (say Lameda on them) are my favourite by far out of my shorts and still feel and ride exactly the same as day 1.

The saddle was like R180 and the bib R350. Not that I don’t want to support local but I need more bibs than I can afford at local prices.

Sjoe, I've bought a ton of cycling stuff on Temu. All good quality, so far. Delivered on time.

A few best buys below. The best deal has undoubtedly been the 'Boas', for R20, (Lake boa vs non-boa models is over R1000 difference).

I have also bought a lot from Temu, took 3 orders to get the right shorts as I like the padding very thin and agree, Lameda is excellent quality so far, should last as long as Assos or Ciovita did.

Glasses with myopic lenses is a winner.

MTB shoes I found weird fit, I'll  avoid in future, cleats slightly to big and didn't fit properly in the SPD pedals so I will also avoid this in future.

Gloves and especially winter gloves are good quality.

Refund / exchange process was flawless so far.

But I made a mistake and ordered from Ali Express last time - nightmare - I will strongly advise to avoid them.

One set of shorts completely wrong size on the website, I send photos of the advertised product, my waist, other shorts I have etc. - no luck, they refused to refund so I donated them.

Second set of shorts - the seller stated wrong item description - gloves instead of shorts, customs cannot clear them due to wrong value and description, it has been 2 months and still arguing about the refund even though I provided all the evidence and they have been shipped back to China.

I ordered from AliExpress years ago, and they were ok - I bought cassettes, chainrings, pedals, grips, tools. Not clothing. The problem was that shipping was via sea, and locally via SAPO, so I had a few long and nervy shipping experiences. I had hoped that TEMU would make AliExpress up their game and bring prices down, but alas. I reckon AE is obsolete.

We’ve got a bunch of Temu BOAs in use and they’re brilliant. Haven’t had one break yet and my MTB flats in particular take quite some force mostly from me moering off the bike.

Temu bibs are AWESOME! Remember to check which pad it has. 2D/4D is no good. Check the expensive ones on cycling sites and take something similar.

You don't have to pay 2k for a bib anymore, it's ridiculous.

You will find that the Sami pad is exactly the same as the 2k bibs.

Delivery take about 2 weeks at max. It's free.

NB!! Clothing is 20% import duty as of 1 April 2025. So if your item is R1000

Import Duty: 20% = R200

VAT: 15% of (1000 + 200) = R180

Total Charges: R200 (import duty) + R180 (VAT) = R380

Total cost for package = +-R1380

💯. I put Temu boas on all of my kids' takkies and schoolshoes, because I was tired of them not tying their shoelaces properly. None have broken yet. These cheap boas are durable.

I ordered 2 of the above based on your recommendations. For use on IDT.

Got quite a decent discount so paid less than R800 for 2 bibs, excluding duties and VAT.

Mastering your shoelaces was an introductory process for the gateway to primary school! You’ve robbed the PlayStation Generation of this opportunity. I strongly recommend you reverse this decision and make them work harder. My kids can buy their own  BOA’s one day. 🤣🤣🤣

Have ordered some of the Bibs and a gillet vest from them plus some other tat base don the reviews on tis site. At the price the shorts are great for the IDT in winter and Zwifting - as long as they are half decent i can get 3 pairs for every one Ciovita .

lets see.

Anyone order the new pocket infkators that seem to be all the rage - much niftier than CO2. if so which ones are the best?

AliExpress has upped their game. I have ordered some genuine Shimano brake parts that the local extortionists do not supply (Infamous XT master cylinder bladder being one) and had them all within 10 days of the order being placed via a fully tracked courier service (iMile).

Good to know. Do you pay extra for the courier?
