Was it quite near the start? I think I saw two tar bumps (little mounds of tar) marked with yellow paint. This was on the left. On the right shoulder of the road was an ambulance and a rider indicating the danger to our group (thanks, whoever that was).

That’s the exact spot. No Marshall was present

Weather was great but I can t be sure because I didn’t get further than the place that guy lost His life two weeks ago. Someone at the head of C was head down going balls to the wall with all of us strung out behind. Then I hear the scream of dread and all I know is the guy infront of me switched left, clipped my front wheel and I was doing a right leg balancing act till I hit a bloke laying in the road then it was leave some skin behind time.

shyte happens I guess but these accidents are just too common 😫🤕

I was right next to him and hit that bump middle stump so basically ramped it but he clipped it at a slight angle so was always going to end off badly... the race organisers should have made a better plan there considering the recent events with Jono losing his life at that spot!!

Good to hear you are okay generally. Hope the roasties heal quick!!

How long does it normally take for PPA to update your seeding after an event?

Have a look on PPA. Looks like they have done a Seeding run. I jumped from D to B in a few races, Durbie Dash, 100 Miler and 1 Tonner.

No 100 Miler on mine, but Durbie Dash and One Tonner showing.

Yoh, they were heavy handed with the adjusted winner time for One Tonner!

Normally they are much more generous with the beta as well but to be fair the conditions were favourable

From the results it looks like shifting the curve to the right was required...

What's up with F-group? Some monster times posted from multiple riders!

I strongly suspect some F group guys got confused between the 170 and 120km routes....

With Durbie dash there were also a couple of F group riders that came flying past us.

Might just be a couple of decent riders that have a bad seeding for whatever reason .... at least they wont be seeded in F for the world champs 👍
