I like csixx because they hit the great value target on the head. The chainrings last long enough for the price paid. The Xsync II chainrings still outlast csixx by a factor of at least 2 and run quieter but they quite a lot more expensive at the lbs. Some local online stores often discount them to best csixx value.
I like that they offer different colour options and cerakote which should add Life to the rings till the coating is worn off.
overall I can’t fault their products even if it took them 2 yrs to make a stem for XCO/XCM bikes. I’d be keen to try their Shimano road chainrings as the OEM rings are made of a very special Dutch cheese that’s far softer than a Dutch farm girls rosy cheeks

I went their offices ages ago and they tried to remove a bolt for me in a crank and broke their very expensive torque wrench. I actually felt pretty bad but could see it coming. And great to see Cam there. He is a lekka dude. Had many chats with him in Toaki.

Your wording is legit. If you as a consumer feel you are getting value for money then life is worth living 🕺

If you crave longevity run a steel chainring. Will last as well as your SRAM cassette i.e multiple chains. If manufacturers were honest they'd put some effort into developing even better steel options rather than trying to sell overpriced short lived alloy chainrings.

Change my mind 🙂

The fact that they were using a very expensive torque wrench to REMOVE a bolt is more damning than I think you probably intended haha. I wouldn't feel too guilty. This is such a noob mistake 😅.

i like my csixx stuff. I regret getting the derailleur cage though. Was a waste of money. Terrible bearings in them. Well it’s better with stock sram/shim wheels in it. Don’t know if they had a running update. And the first iteration of the dropper lever had a cable bolt made of cheese. Ive noticed they updated it.

I have a stainless single speed cog that has 1000s of km on it with no visual signs of wear. Similarly…paid an arm/leg for steel idler pully’s for my big bike because the alloy ones lasted as long as ice in a braai. Wolftooth use to make stainless chainrings…guess they stopped because it was an forever chainring and a bad business model.

Have one of their stems on my mtb and it’s really nice and have used their gravel / aero chainrings. They look cool but are noisy and don’t last as long as the SRAM stuff unfortunately but they are cheaper.

I have a Csixx Chainring on MTB.

Very Happy with the Product.

Alu Chainrings need to be replaced when the Chain is worn and the Chain is replaced because the Chainring beds into the Chain as it is a soft material . Never Install a New alu Chainring with a worn Chain.

The Same applies to the Rapide Chainrings which are also Very Reliable.
