Must be slow going this year. Wind?

If Trackleaders is correct this could be the first year that no one breaks the 3 day 72hr benchmark.

Hard to believe that the leaders are halfway after 20 hours!  Just another level completely........

and Gemperle would be nearing the finish line probably if he was racing.

Are we watching the same event? The 2 x front runners on track to go below 50hrs.

Wind has actually been mostly tail and cross up to this point. Reckon at least 10 or so should break 72 hours

The leaders are at 966km. It’s 10am. What numbers are you seeing?

…battling to,’get’ the analogy, Dicky; please explain…?!
Dankie

Perhaps it didn't display properly on your iPhone?

(Personally I don't agree with Dicky's suggestion, especially not after chatting with friends who completed it a few years ago)

Current projection puts the winners at 54.5 hours with more than 30 riders coming in under 72 hours - by far the most ever. Lots can change still but it doesn't look like the weather is going to turn for the worst.

On track to be the best year in terms of weather in the 11 editions.

I get it, thanks for the Italics, now the iPhone story makes sense!

currently sitting in Ceres between meetings - going to be long gone before they get here. It's moer hot today.

was actually quite hard to find the tracking page from the website. Not sure if it is even there, but that's probably not the analogy.

I made the assumption that the comment was linked to the price & perceived ROI.

As an Android (read base Android device, not Samsung...) fan I definitely subscribe to the theory that iPhones are overpriced etc.. (the quality of their cameras notwithstanding)

But let's not derail the thread! Munga = madness in my book, paying a (for me) large sum to suffer has zero appeal!

They took a bit of a rest at Tankwa Padstal - projecton currently to be in Ceres at about 17.00 with a finish at 19.00

2 Front guys battling it out 👊👊

I hope it is a battle and not a truce like the one year with Benky & Thinus iirc.

I've heard that the 2nd half of the field is dealing with some challenging weather. Super hot (which I suppose is expected) block headwinds and then a sorm with a bit of rain to round off the experience.

I'd love to complete this one year but crisis, I dont think I could deal with all of that for so long 😅
