I don't want to do the anorak thing, I just want to use it when I need to 😜

Analysis Paralysis should have been my middle name!  And also, with the wide range of decently priced products here I had to do some research 😂

I was browsing and stumbled upon your topic. I have actually been supplying mini e-pumps for a while now, and I can't believe that not everyone is sold on them as yet but then again we arer creatures of habit and they are costly but it will safe you soooo much in the long run. It's an absolute game-changer and no-brainer. One of the biggest solutions to a problem is that you will be forced to dump your CO2 at the airport causing people to dash to the nearest bike mechanic tent at the event. But not all e-pumps are created equal and ignorance is not always bliss. We still know very little about the pros and cons and what NOT to buy. To give you a little heads up search for anything from 120-150Psi, check that the device has temp control, check for safety on to avoid accidental activation, digital display is always great, preset to desired pressure and auto shut is the "bomb" excuse the pun. Also check how many inflations on one charge so as I said not all e-pumps are created equal but it seems they are all kind of the same price. It is an electronic device and will survive whilst riding in a bit of drizzle but don't fall of the floating bridge. You will have a problem but its ideal for a long and safe group ride or a solo ride. Perfect for lady riders super easy to use. Shout if you have any questions......Can somebody tell me about bike frame bags? That's actually what I was searching for 😁

Got one of these:

https://www.powerology.me/shop/p25cmapbk-powerology-super-compact-tire-inflator-black-3430#attribute_values=2724,3161,2313,3162

Bought for Powerology's battery tech...mmmm!?

Nice piece of kit with auto cutoff, LED readout... and does work, small package, light, convenient...BUT

Only 2 (just) inflations to 4bar of Panaracer 38....tubeless...

Gets real hot towards the end...

Loud...

You have to use the separate hose extension, with is Schrader so it needs Presta convertor

DO not use if you have those TBU tubes...it'll melt at the valve patch

Thanks for this. Never thought of this. This might be a deal breaker for me, as I wanted one to use with my road bike. I only use TPU tubes. (some of my TPU tubes (pink in color) have a plastic valve contraction.) 👀

I’ve heard that if you use the extension that some of these pumps have then it will be fine as not as much heat is transferred.

Ive also heard you can’t use a bomb to inflate them because it freezes and cracks them.

Check what is included in the box.  I have a small extension included with my pump.  About 5cm long.  This is to prevent damage to TPU tubes or (maybe) carbon rims due to heat (the last part is my analysis paralysis).  ANYWAY, I  will most probably use the extension in any case as it allows me to see the LCD screen better.

Secondly, yes it is noisy!  You are not going to use this in an apartment at 04:30 before a long ride without getting "death stares" from your neighbour for a week or 2.

the Temu ones are really good...I can highly endorse the one I bought

yep have one in my camelbak. Used it last weekend. Same as the expensive brands but half the price and they work well. Temu for the win - dont need the brand names as they all ship from China anywya.

How noisy are they ? Id like to get one but noise is a factor for me

VERY noisy. Not quite as loud as a mini compressor in some cars, but loud enough to disturb people within 10m or more. I used one at a restaurant in Italy and had to quickly go around the corner into a doorway. Was super loud. Can't remember the brand but I imagine it was one of the better ones as the rider wasn't one to skimp on cycling stuff.

Will be fine on the road, but will easily wake your partner/dog/neighbour.

I have the Ryder one . Works like a bomb ..... ( no , not THAT bomb ) .

It is quite loud , but for tubeless no need to worry about compromising the sealant .

I have used it 3 times and only then had to charge it .

Cool thing is you set the pressure and let it do its thing .... takes about 90 seconds to pump to 4.5 bar .
