Government Law to be Introduced

Recommended Posts

its a great idea, taking from cyclists to give back to cycling! But, c'mon, we live in South Africa.

If they implement this they will be using the funds to buy more big black luxury cars to chase down

yellow lanes in peak morning traffic (and probably knock some cyclists over in the process)

Why licence bikes? Why not licence the people instead? They're a$$wholes that don't know what they're doing? And do you then take you bike to the AA to get it roadworthied?

This is the way I see it. We all complain about Metro's inefficiency & rightfully so, but really, if we all do the right thing and be more conscious of our fellow human beings and our surroundings, we do not need to be baby sitted by cops. If we all obey & respect the rules of the road and each other, those baddies will stand-out like sore thumbs and will soon realise that their actions are not warranted.

so lets all remember to Be Courteous & Share the Road !!!

Utopia, maybe, but as the saying goes 'Road Safety begins with ME'

in other countries there are laws to protect cyclists - ie they are seen as having as much right to use the road.  in addition, if you hit a cyclist (or pedestrian) you have penalties aplplied to your license.  The onus is thus on motorists to be careful and considerate to cyclists, as it should be.  I heard this legislation is under copnsideration here, but is not yet implemented.  Hopefully it will be soon

Dis my storie.. koebaai..

Bigh, ek worrie nie of jy jou donkiekar of duikboot in Nigeriee moet licence.

Popeye if you want to implement your plan go into politics and become the president.  Failing that join the CSA and take Groot LEMS job.

For the record....Groot Lem doesn't have a job. Klein Lem has a job.

ShaunH... eK KRY DIE IDEE JY SIEN DIE LIG.

next we'll hear is that bicycles are only allowed to go 30km/h and there will be speed traps all over. You know with job creation and all. LOL

they honestly look for the skankiest ways to make money...isn't it enough they take my damn salary every month....now they wanna make you pay when doing excersise....sons of Bi^&hes...

For that matter, they must then make runners wear licensed shoes...bugger them ...they can kiss my ass....anyways I ride off road or on the pavement, so stuff em again!LOL

Government are greedy morons......i am all for bike safety, but the only way they will use the money for good is if it is managed by cyclists... etc etc...

anyway, maybe i am being a sod because i am sick and cannot ride my bike nor can i race this weekend Dead
