There are tons of valid points in this discussion, great input from everyone thanks.
Comparing prices isn't really even what gets to me. For me, personally I can only imagine that most of the 1st & 2nd gen alu PYGA riders like myself and other riders on the bikes mentioned won't be getting a new PYGA. Me for one, I prefer alu and it fits the pocket, so for all of us who helped build the brand to what it is now on alu bikes too it is kind of like thanks but please take this expensive carbon bike now, we are cutting off you guys from the brand who I think was probably the majority judging from ads and seeing what is around. I mean surely like mentioned alu costs a lot too and the shape of the bike and so on but at least just an alu Hyrax to show some form of like "Hey guys, you poor bastards we got you too."
Damn... Imagine they make a alu Hyrax and call it Bastard they would make billions
And for record, if I had to choose between a Santa Cruz (Whatever model and spec equal) or a PYGA Hyrax I would probably go Hyrax. There is just something about riding a local brand.
So this isn't really a rant about bad service or anything like that. I don't know but I just can't help but feel disappointed by a brand I like and support. This isn't me attacking them or saying what they are doing is wrong in no way this is just sharing my feelings and thoughts.
I think PYGA got a really good following in terms of people being on their bikes because of the Pascoe 140, OneTen29 and the 120, I mean there are a lot of these for sale and has been too throughout this year. Which also means good exposure for the brand. With this exposure comes a certain voice or image for the brand.
I use to own a Pascoe 140 myself but when PYGA released the new range the Hyrax and Slackline I was excited and thought to myself "Hell yeah, can't wait to get one"... but honestly I don't think I ever will. Not because it is a bad bike or anything like that but because I feel like PYGA kind of went from having this amazing range of alu bikes which was for the weekend warrior everyday guy all way up to the crazy shredders, now I feel like it isn't the same anymore. I feel like PYGA moved me who owned a PYGA back then to the side and just focused on being elite or something, I guess they want to be up there with the brand like YETI or something. This isn't a bad thing these bikes are really good but just can't help but feel forgotten about, it just isn't the same feeling anymore like it was with the Pascoe, 29 and 120, I feel like some of the people who supported the brand back then kind of wasn't thought about and they are now only focusing on one certain group, if that makes sense?
The brand must still be doing well if they only make carbon high-end bikes but I don't know how to really explain it, when I put my Pascoe next to a Hyrax it just isn't the same and that is what PYGA is to me.
Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying this is what they have done or anything like that. Just as a previous owner of a PYGA sharing my thoughts.
Short version: I am too poor for a new PYGA and this makes me sad.
May I ask who designed your CI? Logo etc?
I have sold 2 bikes this year and it went fairly quickly and easily. People just want higher prices because everything has become more expensive so they need more money for their next purchase whatever it may be.
Heck I got myself a Pyga the other day, like earlier this month and the guy came down with his price by 10k.
I also think people are adding more "padding" to the price, so you think they are coming down but actually you are giving them more or less what they wanted.
What a strange website.
I agree.

Check it out!
Coming back to mountain biking after 2.5 years out of it due to an injury and then life. I have always wanted to do enduro and here I am, starting my journey.
Got the bike Giant Stance 2 off bikehub from an awesome member, fitted some new parts, DHF and DHR tyres, 1x10 convo with Zee rear mech and shifter, XT crankset, Rapide HiRise 780 bars with a 50mm stem and Crank Brothers Stamp 2 flats. Waiting for Rapide to get dropper posts and will then get a 30mm stem too.
Getting there!
Starting out with enduro, got me this little puppy. Fitted new DHR and DHF tyres, Rapide 780 HiRise bars and 50mm stem replacing it with a 30mm stem as soon as Rapide get dropper posts back in stock. 1x10 convo with the Zee mech.
I have had this bike for a few weeks, only got to ride it today. First I had to get it up and running and wait for parts then I had to remove my big toe nails because they were growing in too much, so with my toes feeling okay I had go at it around the hood today and it is awesome!
Hey everyone,
Not new around here have been lurking in the shadows for many years. Recently came back from having big issues with my knee. But after 2 years or so I am back on the bike.
This is a new account for me, my old account I use to use was registered with my old Facebook that I don't use anymore. Old account is: https://www.bikehub.co.za/user/49434-ruan-de-lange/

I don't ride at Klapperkop but I am willing to chip in to support cycling as a community. And I believe only once everyone starts being more supportive of things like this where their money is required it is the only way a difference can be made, I honestly don't think there is any other way anymore. Everyone wants safety and security but very few is willing to pay for it.
I guess people probably don't think they will get their money's worth because how reliable will the security be? But only one way to find out and also I am not just looking at this from a cycling point of view but also community. Heard some pretty terrible stories of people driving through there and even stopping to look at the sunset.
I am also willing to come and work on those trails too
