  1. What happened to those organic water balls they used at a past running or cycling event? Should be mandatory. You either have your own water container or take a water ball or tough sh*t...
  2. Waiting for the rains in Magalies...Tuesday I hear...?
  3. Till humans stop uncontrolled breeding the world is set in its downward spiral...my bit for the world? Having No kids...I'm glad to see as well quite a few adults in their mid 20's also opting not to breed.
  4. To go hunting something like an elephant or any big and dangerous game...do you need to have proven yourself by shooting smaller game first or can you just rock up and blast away as a total beginner?
  5. Under the tyres of carnivorous cyclists....
  6. Wrappers are heavy guys... 2 or 3 of those probably weight 15-20grams...he obviously needed to lighten up for his big sprint..
  7. managed to get that fork for R3k.
  8. it's just a bit of a quest...I bought a momsen bike last year that I thought had a tapered steerer fork but the frames headtube is designed to look tapered and unfortunately the fork was straight steerer. I contacted many bike shops and eventually one managed to order me a RS Recon from the suppliers. Tapered is the more common standard now it would seem...not a Biggie but I thought when I bought the bike I would just simply upgrade the fork to something better when I knackered it up...! I should add that it was a straight steerer 9mm QR fork and most forks now are also thru axle...
  9. That's a straight steerer and I can attest after looking for a new fork for my Momsen that finding a fork for a straight steerer is a challenge...bear that in mind if you buy one with the intention to upgrade as time goes on...
  10. I was just going to have a bring and braai if I ever got married....
  11. 3rd time unlucky mate. I had a bike that broke twice in exactly the same spot. I had no issue getting a frame replaced from the company but after the second time I just thought sod it. It's cost me additional time time and money and It's bound to happen in the same spot again so I claimed on my insurance. Chalk it up to bad luck. If it was me they could shove that 4th frame anyway! Although sitting on the top tube is a bit dodge!?
  12. Are you doing something on the Warthogs side of the hills?
  13. There is also the old Post Office Pub at Maanhaarand you can park at and have a beer and some lunch afterwards if you just fancy an up and over....
  14. Ja, shoot them and leave them to bleed out....dont see why resources such as medical attention needs to be wasted on criminals. Live by the sword....die by the sword....
  15. Used to be SANI-Boy...after my Nissan Sani naturally! Quite a good forum while I was on it a few years back, there also used to be a good Nissan 4x4 forum but that seems to have disappeared now sadly. A lot of useful info on the Nissan one.
  16. I had an earful from someone over the weekend as its 3 years since my ex left...and why don't I find someone else...and why don't I move on ....and why don't I make an effort....blah blah blah blah blah! If it wasn't my mates wench I would have just told them to sod off.... Why can't people accept that being single is a choice and for some, if something happens it happens, if it doesn't.....well bugger me....life still goes on and I can still ride my bike!
  17. Never really had major problems with second hand stuff, cars, computers, tools etc...my issues always to seem to come when I buy something new, probably an expectation thing...of expecting the new thing to work properly first time round!!
  18. My ex got married this weekend...I went to the local pub to meet a friend who visits here once in a while and have a drink (coke in my case!) and would you believe it that some of her mates were there and they took a certain delight in showing me her wedding pics....but you know you are over it when you can look at the pics and not really feel anything....(actually I lie.... there was a tiny bit of regret....like not buying more bikes when I had the chance!)
  19. Agree with the bold here....recently shopped around for a 2nd hand laptop, some idiots were asking more than I could find a NEW one online for! Pawn shops as well, crazy prices for second hand pieces of crap!
  20. No, water tastes better.....
  21. haha, Mr Goat was a handful until he got to know you, those horns coming towards you in a dark and narrow passage way were a bit sketchy!
  22. I had a friend who had a goat as a pet and that idiot slept inside as well!
  23. Almost finished watching Falling Skies....I can't believe Steven Spielburg was part of this, dismal acting! But I don't have DSTV nor affordable internet so I just take what I can scrounge from people! Managed one season of Lethal Weapon as well....not sure if I will bother watching the second season.... Sat through a few seasons of Kitchen Nightmares as well last weekend, just reinforces my policy of not eating out these days!
  24. Bibs are cooler and certainly more comfy on long rides but I like shorts for that casual look if you are visiting someone/somewhere....(that is proper cycling shorts with the liner inside to it though! Not Mr Price rugby shorts...although as a kid its all I ever rode in really!)
  25. Doesn't Game sell these?
