  10. I've lived very close to the Moreletta almost all my life and also used to cycle there as a kid. (often on my way to school - IN GRADE2!). I've been thinking of getting hold of Groenkloof to start something around there for quite a while. Awesome to hear that it is already happening. Like Weight Weenie said, give a shout if you need some helpers. I reckon some aggro MTBers with pepper spray will help keep the place "clean". p.s How do you post a kmz file?

  16. I have KENDA Nevegal non UST which I am running tubeless with Mavic 317 rims. They dont roll great and they are heavy but they are very cheap and bomb proof...

  19. I often read on the hub: "Have a milkshake" or "drink a glass of nesquik". If you compare the Protein, carbs, fat & fibre of a sport supplement to some kind of milkshake and the label looks the same, it does NOT mean it is. Carbs is not just carbs, the same as fat is not just fat. Dextrose is carbs & waxy maize starch is carbs. It doe definitely NOT mean that they react the same in your body. If you dont have money for a recovery drink rather go and study what you need and go find out exactly what foods, liquids or fruits & veg will give you that.

  24. 2 of my friends did a race last year. The 1 had been riding for years and the other doesn't cycle (he just borrowed his brothers MTB and decided to do a race). They unpacked their bikes before the race and the newbie hopped on and starting peddling around the parking lot in a warm-up attempt. Had his first crash about a minute later... BEFORE the race. Could't get the feet out. One girl was convinced he was drunk.
