  1. That doesn't even happen to me with my 75mm bars. Mine are right yours are wrong 🙂
  2. How long is a piece of string. I run 75mm rise bars on my enduro bike. It looks funny but I don't care because I'm tall and the head tube is stupidly short. It all depends...
  3. I also noticed the Oukaaps issue when driving over there recently. Other roads also develop similar problems- eg Rhodes Drive and doubtless others. There is much that could be done to improve safety of sporting cyclists and commuters alike in CT.
  4. https://www.globalcyclingnetwork.com/racing/news/miguel-angel-lopez-banned-for-four-years-for-menotropin-use I raise you a 4 year ban!
  5. A classic from the Bike Hub classifieds. What the actual ...

  7. True - all they've done is mention on their insta that the events are taking place at x and y venues. The XCO and DH coverage is pretty good, perhaps better than RBTV, I think. In stark contrast to the XCM
  8. Its amazing how poor the coverage is of the XCM. I wonder if they'll even put out a highlights video?
  9. Motor doping has reared its head again. Ghost in the Machine podcast on Spotify is delving into it. I blame eBikes. 🙂
  10. You cant really compare G Spot to JH. It has hardly any gradient and relies on smoothness to carry speed through the berms and jumps. JH's trails are all technical single track ranging from the easiest Never Ending Story to the steepest hardest like The Plumber. Red Phoenix lies between these extremes, has high speeds, berms and small jumps lower down. Parts of lower Armageddon section have more of the same berms and jumps. The upper parts of Armageddon and Iron Monkey are very technical. If you just want to ride smoother faster terrain you can tailor your ride to exclude these sections and save yourself a lot of climbing in the process. JH is as close to riding steep Euro terrain as you can find in SA. It would be awesome if there was a lift or shuttle service. Its the kind of place an eBike makes huge sense.
  11. Agreed, I'm getting bored after watching 4 or 5.
  12. This channel has some funny videos. Thats The "Danish Anchovy" Jonas V by the way. 🙂 Just in case you though he and TP were clean ...
  13. It was at this point that I understood that Vlad has truly been impaled by his own stupidity or duplicity.
  14. I' hope there is a way to appeal but I suspect that they have probably already given him an opportunity to explain the failure to be present. That said, if circumstances are truly beyond your control surely you'd be excused?
  15. You might be faster on your heavy dual trail bike because you can klap the really rocky climbs and descents more efficiently though.
  16. Stay away from TM jeep track - windy, and steep enough to put a beginner off.
  17. I once rode with a pistol - in my hydration back pack - not for protection but to keep the firearm on my person as there was no safe where were were staying on holiday. I can't imagine trying to carry a pistol on every ride and where it would be located for quick draw without drawing attention to the fact that you have one. A backpack is not the place for that unless you have lots of time to react. For me its a definite no to carrying while riding.
  18. Clearly words didn't fail you because here you are 🙂
  19. Hot on the heels of that other Friday thread re chaffed thighs comes this bit of TMI . Seriously? Maybe you're just a stinky oke?
  20. Lekker spot with great facilities.
  21. One of the early Pole bikes... probably also the best looking one too. Ground breaking at the time but looks pretty normal now.
  22. You see that's kind of okay because it doesn't look like a ball bag suspended from your rails.
  23. I did not do that. I rode with a moonbag in the 90's. They are so last millennium.
