  1. Went on a diet based on similar principle 3 years ago. Lost 30kgs and is still maintaining it. Needless to say it changed my life (and health and attitude) No more looking away when people talk about balanced lifestyle.
  2. The tandem in front of us had one of those very loud rubber bellows & chrome cone type hooters. I soon saw exactly why....especially for the Argus. It helps to clear the way of basic-skill-disadvantaged cyclists.
  3. Great race. Spouse fell and fractured ribs. Amazing support from other cyclists who carried her to nearest vehicle. Thank you Rayna/Tanya? and Dominique(owner). Before today you were strangers. Now you are our heroes.
  4. We try to do every Vori-Berg race. We enter online on the cyclelab website. It disappeared off the website. Where can we enter and get the dates for 2012 season?
  5. +1 ..for North of 39k
  6. I am unaware of any scrap of (anecdotal...as in phone a friend) evidence from any tele-sales cell phone operator that mentions anything about having to notify anyone when your credit card reaches renewal date. How does that tally with the consumer protection act? Maybe I should ask 3rd degree or Carte Blanche and entertain us all?
  7. My friend bought a R150.00pm MTN "telesales" phone, but found it does not receive as hoped in her farming area. Left it in a drawer unused. More than a year later she is "pur-sued" by lawyers for "non payment" as her credit card was renewed and MTN failed to debit the new card or notify her!
  8. Centurion based. I take full responsibility for my own happiness, so some things I buy at CL and they are great with bike/rider setup, all prices I negotiate with Cajees because they always have abundant(overpriced) stock and all the rest I do at Epic....and yes I buy from CWC and CRC and Dealextreme depending on the savings available. Cudos to Cyclelab for giving someones beginner kid a job. Next time ask for a "sub 10 minute experienced salesman" before you start rambling of acronyms at a scared kid!
  9. Eish!

  11. Go ride a 26" and a 29". Then decide.
  12. Great app. luv it...except when I fell off my bike..all she said was "workout paused" What about "ag shame" or "are you OK?"
  13. 29er FS
  14. The missus and I both had exactly the same. It went away after we: 1. Raised the handle bar to reduce pressure/weight on the wrists (fitted and angled stem) 2. Replaced the foam grips with the expensive moulded grips & Bar ends named above Pain gone.
  15. Have fun! Hope you enjoy it!
  16. Not sure that all Capetonians can afford to spend a week in JNB to save you an hour and a half's time in traffic? Agree that there should be an alternative though. ...and the Argus?
  17. Tallboy + Lefty 10.4kg incl pedals.
  18. Different stuff clearly works for different folks. Our whole family use 32GI and find it awesome. Drinks for first 90 mins, thereafter on the chews. Not even hungry after the ride!
  19. Best of both worlds....Tallboy with 120mm carbon lefty?
