  1. There is a Salsa Spearfish in the classifieds - size L In your price range. Take a look
  2. Also use a bit of Copper paste on the outer rim of the bearing when fitting new ones - this will help to press them in easier as well as removal next time.
  3. Also hoping to make a cameo there. See you boys in transition!
  4. Sure is a proper race - I do agree that the first real climb and following downhill is really hard on the body with nowhere to hide. The Monster itself is not that bad but the previous climb ha set in the hurt already which then just compounds. Then you just have to bite down and get to the finish. Had some bad luck with punctures and a chain but good tester anyway. ZTR and Geax is not a good combination take off and refit on your ace! Now that tyre knows exactly how I feel about its mother! Have set my goal time for next your - need to work a bit. Thanx to all the 40km km rides that gave us space to ride whenever we asked - really appreciate you guys making way for us. Quote of the day :"That race was so hard it made me turn to Religion"
  5. try weight weenie
  6. Nice !!!!!!!!!! Love it! Look out for the `Green Latrine` tomorrow and say hi!
  7. Keen to see you Mchines out there tomorrow! Say hi as you come past! - Promise I will give way if you ask nice! Keep me a beer - might be too much to ask that its cold when I get there.
  8. Well - at least you have something to help your body recover after that hammering!!!
  9. The right bike is the one you ride 4 times a week The one you do all your suffering on. The one you do all your races on. The one that you smile at when you open your garage. The one you take extra special care of when loading it up. The one you thank for getting you to the finish when your legs gave up. The one you want to buy an upgrade for - not cause it needs it - just because you love it that much. The one with your butt imprint in the saddle. that is the right bike for Epic!
  10. Maybe he is a sports agent. What are the chances of seeing Phillip + Max as backup for Sauser + Kulharvy?
  11. My vote goes for the guy that didnt finish his work properly the previous day or didnt clean up after he was done. Customer complaint sees you grabbing a ho - no, not one of those - and clearing some track!
  12. Just clear this up for me. This ride as per your post is for Sun 06 Jan at 08:00 - Fountains Circle. Right? Then there is also one from Fountain circle tonight - Fri 04/01 at 18:00. Right?
  13. SLX over XT over XTR. Formula is just crazy to set up and very fussy to ride I have Hope on both my rigs - more guts than talent -my brakes are tools, not ornamental bling. Get brakes that stop everytime. Ask Kevin Evans what happens when you run the lightest brakes on the market.
  14. 1. No 2. All calipers are std size but you will need a adapter to suit the rotor. If the front is post mount you wont need an adapter if you want to run a 160 rotor, but you will is you run a 180/183/185 or 203 rotor. Same with back - 160 no adapter - the rest will need. Most guys run 180/183/185 in the front and 160 at the back. its up to you. 3. Uncomplicated answer - run the hose next to the cable stops and cable tie it down. Complicated answer involves drilling out the cable stops to allow the hose to run through it.
  15. Nigel Hicks will also be able to help with ideas. S.I.R Maxxis said: "Your most crucial part of the building will be to ensure the trail flows. Nothing worse than a corner that is too sharp causing you to lose speed". Absolutely true - see so many guys keen to build trails but corners are too sharp. Keep riding the trail as you build to see where the line should flow. Nambabwe is a hard country so erosion should be a big problem - but clearing the rocks could be. Riding the lines with an MX bike will also help the flow.
  16. No sorry Karma, Had some a few years back but it seems they have disappeared. Must have put them on someone's bike at some point. Sorry mate.
  17. Remember to take the STF Harry. Enjoy
  18. Hey Karma, I might have a set for you. I'll check for you and let you know. V.
  19. In spite of being able to stand inn at a police line-up at any time - he is a cool guy.
  20. I`ll PM you.
  21. Im not `that` guy! And you`re in my `cool` book so let just call it straight!
  22. How about 'Ride till you taste blood - then back off, just a little!'
  23. Only know you guys by reputation - congradz and enjoy. This is prob where we make some corney cycling analogy like 'May there always be sealant in you tyre and a bomb in you back pocket" I prefer something like "When in doupt, go flat out' or " if it aint Durty, it aint purdy" - apply as needed Meridaman - May you never strike a flat in a `technical section`! Barbie - Grip-it and rip-it is a golf term! Enjoy guys! Lots of Luck. See you on the trails
