Hope the guy will recover well. I rode up to Suikerbossie and there were +-20 bikers coming fast downhill. I saw the traffic cop hiding in the bush in the middle of Suikerbossie. I hope he fine all the bikers heavy. The problem the bikers don't have number plate on front, only at the back. I am not sure if he takes photos from the back or front.

I am not surprised because Albany and Blue Ribbon drivers nearly knocked me over 2/3 times for the past 6months near Fish hoek and Hout Bay. When you see them, better move away from them, but it is difficult. I think those drivers don't know their size of the trucks

I would like to buy a good economical training wheels that is strong and affordable to repair. What do you think of Mavic Aksium or Shimano WHR500 or Alex 320? They are all have similar weight and price. Which one is best buy?

If I was you, Ask the shop to weigh both bicycles and see if it is worth to pay more or not. If the Merida is alot lighter than Raleigh, it is worth to pay more. If the weight are not much different, I will go for Raleigh. Good luck!
Make sure it has HD because in few years time SABC, DSTV company will convert to HD, so normal television will not work. Rather put money now than throw it away

I feel that PPA and WPCA must form in one group like other provinces. They need to work together and make it great. I wonder if they don't want to work together. I am ashamed of WP trails and Elite league in past weekend. I wonder if CSA will sort the problem out.
I agree with you and we need to stand together. The drivers don't want to slow down and give us space. They will rather squeeze between us and oncoming traffic. They will rather knock cyclist than get themselves killed. Maybe we must open new website and record all the numberplate of dangerous drivers. If it happens twice, we lay charge that driver. What do you think?
Try not to go less than cadence 60 it is a waste of energy, rather shift to lighter gear and spin more. Armstrong always use cadence 90, but it is hard. my average cadence at race is 80. Concentrate on getting fit first, before you concentrate on cadence
I have been racing with SV for the past 2 years and I noticed that none of us want to work together. They just want to crack everyone out of the bunch because yesterday on the way back, there was strong wind and I tried to help and work in the front, but everybody just sat behind me far too long before I nearly ran out of my gas. We need to work together more and save energy and improve our time. What do you think!
I am surprised that the owner did not report the police about the stolen bicycle. Maybe he had too much money to throw away. I hope the owner will spoil you when he recovers it.
Maybe we can ask the PPA can postponed to this coming weekend because the 2nd league race is on Saturday and we can camp at the wine farm and do 190km stage on Sunday. It will make the weekend great for training for DC. What do you think!
