I didn't notice any e-bikes?
Let's Go! Have an awesome day everyone!
We arrived safely in Montagu at the Guano Caves yesterday morning and am enjoying the campsite at the foot of the mountain. I am consuming much beer.
Tomorrow we will pack up in the am and head towards CPT to the expo for number collection and then to Somerset West.
Am looking forward to Sunday morning!
Lots of bikes on the back of trailers heading south on the N1 this morning! Excitement is building!
We will hit the N1 southwards later this afternoon.
I'll be riding with black tires
You can try Cogent Industries if Faerie Glen is not too far for you. I have met the guys there and they are awesome and know their stuff.
Well this is going to be interesting.. The leader of "Gatvol Capetonian" who is currently on a hunger strike outside Parliamant has posted this...

Wow - Is there a special millionaire start group?
Sjoe it's cold and windy. Drizzling on and off at the airport at the moment.
Wanted to go and do a very slow 40km ride this morning but I am rather going to stay inside with warm coffee ....
Was also a small discount on the entry fee
And get 1c for every R100 spent at you beloved PnP
Ok I see no one want's to ride with me from way back in 3K. It is fine - I will just see myself as the backstop who will make sure everyone is ok and that no one get's left behind I will carry extra tubes and spares ....
When that hub train forming in 3E comes blasting past me imma hooking on.
Please wait for me coming from behind with much force from 3K
Enjoy that GP500 Spy007 !!

Feel free to add yourself, but please don't break it
Maybe the hubbers can form sub-groups and show everyone how group riding should be done

I am taking my entire family with me, 2 boys and wife, because she doesn't like to let me out of her site. This pushes up my costs a bit.
I watched the video many times and I can see that there are some evidence of perhaps a deeper relationship between the driver and cyclists. I think they were in a love relationship but broke up the night before because the guy on the bike cheated on the driver. The driver was mad and decided to get some revenge - knowing his ex's normal cycling route he waited for him at this specific robot to show his anger.
The pink shirt and words "why would I do this to you?" is what made me come up with this theory. Please note that my assumptions are only based on my subjective interpretation of the limited evidence of the event as portrayed in the short video, and is in no way to be considered as the truth.
What is your trigger level of percentage defects in a batch before you recall the entire batch?
Did you hear back from your supplier / manufacturer? What do they have to say?
please confirm your Order # - that way we can get your contact details and will re-imburse you for the 2 purchased. don't want unhappy customers.
[Order #6593]
Thanks
Managed to get a replacement and slightly better 15 x 28 x 7 6902 for R80 - seems to be the going rate for these types. It is the same bearing used on my hubs.
Removed the old one easily with a punch and then managed to press the new one using the old bearing and a plastic mallet - All smooth now!
Watch your backs!!!
Yesterday I noticed the drive side on my rear hub to be a bit rough and upon inspection found that the outside sealed bearing in the free-hub body is taking some strain. (I suspect it is now showing as result of all the daily cycling I did early January in the wet near Port Edward)
The inside hub body bearing luckily is still 100% and is keeping things running ok for now. Bike has done 3500km's
Learning - I should have opened it up completely earlier to clean and give some love, but now I know how to go about it.
Without removing the bearing from the hub, I managed to opened it's one side by removing the rubber seal and did what I could to clean and re-grease so things are a bit better but still a bit rough. I don't have the tools to remove and re-seat new bearings but will give the Bearing shop here in Centurion a visit during the week to see if they can assist and supply me with 2 x new sealed bearings of similar or better type, and the engineering shop next door to possibly remove and re-seat the new ones.
Who of you are thinking about buying a gravel bike?
