  1. I will be there on the old hardtail. If its anything like last time its a gnarly track. Daneger you riding tomorrow?
  2. Opinions are like assholes. Everyones got one. . .
  3. Cos no one has built them yet. Could be a sweet practice area. Untill they quarry more stone out and there go the jumps.
  4. Hey pos. How about we put in a little ds track at tokai with all that clay. Just make the new section two lines. With mid air cross overs!
  5. I actually think tread is a pretty good mag. Not much gravity or freeride content but better than the other sa mags. But i wish we could get dirt mag here. It is the best mag ever no contest.
  6. I dont shave my legs or wear lycra. And i love rough natural trails. Am i the only mountain biker on this thread? Does anyone care?
  7. Dirt roadies? Lycra looks gay, no matter what you are riding.
  8. Exiting times indeed. Cant wait to pitch in .

  10. Surely the best person to decide what bike burry should ride. Is burry. And he made his decision. Whats there to argue about?
  11. It depends on the riding i am doing that day. Always gloves. Normally knee shin pads. Full face helmet and elbow pads for dh practice and racing. 661 make some cool soft knee pads that harden on impact. But the rest of the time you wont even know that they are there. Cost a bit though. . .
  12. 9 tooth small cog. You could run a 32 up front for max ground clearance. And it looks super strong. No more stripped free wheels.
  13. Years ago it was " totally committed" by the nude girls. These days any good hard rock or punk song. Billy talent is what i have been cranking out on my way to tokai on sunday mornings. Or some classic soundgarden.
  14. Hey it is mountain biking after all. A bit of skill should count for something. I dont mean 6 foot drops to flat but if a rider can gain time by riding a section that others are walking down then that seems the right way to go. Its not road cycling after all. . .
  15. Dear santa. Ive been a good boy this year. Can i have a carbon specialized. Pleeeeeze!
  16. How crazy was webber on alonso going into eau rouge ! If they had touched wheels it could have been game over.
  17. Any welded ally frame will crack again. Its just a matter of time. The stresses in ally are different to steel in that any force no matter how small will cause stress in the material. All aluminium frames will crack eventually . The better ones will take many years though. This is why you shouldnt by a very old dh frame. Its gonna break some time!
  18. If 700 grams is 0.777% of your bikes weight then your bike weighs 90 kgs !
  19. Go for the replaceable drop outs. Makes single speed a million times easier. And its steel so a much more forgiving ride plus will last you a lifetime. I have had the same single speed steel hard tail for 6 years and i thrash it every weekend. Never a single mechanical problem. It rules!
  20. Orange! I really want am orange alpine 160. Its the perfect all mountain bike. Does anyone import orange into sa or is there a gap there for someone?
  21. Hey guys nice work on the trail yesterday. It is way better now thanks. Are those jumps i saw as i raced down?
  22. Hey if you dont want it i will buy it off you right now!
  23. Is that signal hill by any chance? Or is it a secret
  24. Working till 3pm on saturday so cant get there. Next weekend should be clear though. Let us know early so that i can sweet talk the wife!
  25. Maxxis ardent 2.35 super tacky. It rules! But all the tread ripped off after about ten rides. At least it was cheap.
